I just bought mine and I absolutely love it!, but I'm scared of updating the phone after hearing about how Oreo has messed up so many devices. I want an opinion on whether it's a good idea to update my XZ premium.

Samsung will never beat sony by speed never even after 10 years

Bow, 04 Jul 2018You can buy Xz2 premium that soon will be available. I will risk to root it after P starts rolling out or due to lacks of security updates... gonna lose the DRM keys and certain exclusive features though (DSEE HX, X-Reality, Digital NC, Bionz processing, etc.) and guess that some bank accounts app or even Google Pay won't work with a rooted phone (with previously unlocked bootloader and ADB commands) but it's a give or take in order to get a custom Rom or an AOSP build - You can tweak and install/port a vastly number of apps from previous itinerations like Screen Recording, DT2W, old Calendar and Messaging app, port the XZ2 camera app, etc. -
To renderize and switch the "always 4K screen" or even calibrate/add more Hz to the panel you might want to think on battery life span though...

I have almost the full memory on mine and it is brilliant playing games and everything just amazing.
I have played game jus for the test I started at 10 and finished at 14 and I could not believe my eyes the battery at the beginning was 88% and at the ending of the process there was 66% instead of note 8 my brother has note 8 and the battery life is poor very poor.
buy sony and enjoy the best device
