Sony has many division, each division is a company that have to make profit. There is sony semiconductor and solution that makes camera sensors, its a healthy and innovative company. Its not under Sony mobile(one who makes phones) supervision.

    Its only about their skills to make a phone. And i will prove how bad it is later.

    Meanwhile, others dont have tech as good as Sony, but their skills is great.

    For example, camera. Sony got the best sensors, but they dont do anything. Meanwhile others, make it bigger apperture, add OIS and better lenses, make it dual set up, and build proper software.

            hey guys, i am using this one for 2 months but i didnt have overheating issue.
            this is an awesome device.
            video quality, no laggy, perfect screen, and durable battery.
            slowmotion is incredible

              S6 is my first samsung phone. i have never tried older devices.

                Sony UI is simplicity but with useful features that enough for daily usage, would you specify which are the features not included, are these features necessary? Sony also has it own theme, user can get the theme free or buy it from Google play, Sony also can download android apps to makes different. Sony put more effort on new technology invention like we can see the first 4K HDR, the first Motions-eye sensor, the first DSEE HX and LDAC audio technology, the side fingerprint sensor, the prolong battery lifespan Qnovo charging technology, fast and stable android updates.....for mobile and more and more, that's amazing!

                  nope. my s6 never slowdown.
                  slow updates? like i said in my previous previous reply to someone, samsung implement theirown "hugely modified" android which have a lot more features and better than google's android.
                  and samsung always improve their ui in every major upgrades.
                  so i always got more features, new ui, but longer time of wait.

                  now compare it to xperia that still uses the same skin since kitkat. do you know why sony do this? because they can't afford to redesign their ui every year. they only have smaller r&d with less/limited budget.
                  If sony has more money, ofcourse they would do the same thing like samsung has done (create new skin, and improve it every year).

                  want a proof? why dont u look at sony ericsson when they still had a lot of money. they improved their ui every year. even when they migrated to symbian, they also hugely modified the ui.

While Sony software skills is awesome as you can see they update the Distortion + android Oreo + 3D Creator to the related devices. But Samsung just bring only one : distortion Retify update, that's really had very limit on software skills and don't forget to complain the Samsung glitch and lag after year of usage.

                      It even got worse burn-in issue, since we usually require to keep monitors on almost for hours with our respective job......

                      Room is well air conditioned so heating problem is non-issue, even with it was replaced(warranty) same issue and in conclusion such panels aren't made to be overworked for long hours......

                      Even Samsung/LG themselves told us to not use their oled monitors for 24hrs as degradation will be faster.....

                      After all this fiasco of issues, we now used LCD Monitors worry free even for 24hrs of usage....

                            1. distortion happened to both xzs and one of samsung's flagship.
                            2. samsung looked at the bug report seriously and promised to fix it immediately. Then they deliver the fix 2 months later. they add new "distortion correction" option to the camera software.
                            3. sony deleted the bug report. then customers angry. then they (sony) restored the bug report back.
                            4. sony tech person said the distortion was normal, they refused to fix it.
                            5. sony customers said distortion also happened to xzp.
                            6. sony still refused to fix it.
                            7. people in gsma, xda, and sonymobile forum troll sony for many months. they said they hate xperia and will never buy xperia in future.
                            8. after 6 (almost 7) months, sony finally decided to fix it. guess what?? sony also add "distortion correction" option to their camera software.
                            so sony copied samsung's way to solve the problem.

                            do sony have excelent software skill?
                            well.. they don't.
                            they need more than 6 months to implement same distortion bugfix like samsung.
                            do sony have good attitude to their customers?
                            no, they don't.

                                  [deleted post]No.. Hardware is never the problem for them, they just can buy it from jdi. So no need RD for screen tech. They even just asked for 4K screen and got it. And they also get shared tech from TV division, bravia engine etc.

                                  The same with camera tech, they get the newest sensors from semiconductor division exclusively.

                                  Its just about the software skills.

                                  Another example, IR... they can easily buy it. But you can not just put IR to the phone and it will works. No, it need software to make it works. And software is always their problem.

                                        Tann Hauser, 16 Jan 2018I cant even begin to explain how false your statement is...... morereally? my s6 never burnin. there are many s6 users in my office, none of them suffer burnin.
                                        but it easily happens to google's pixel, which is newer device compared to s6. it means samsung is smarter. and it means the stock/original android source code (which is used by google) cannot handle oled.
