Hey so far with the new release of the OnePlus 5t, is the Sony XZp a better option or does the 5t take the prize? Thank you

I cant find nothing lacking at all in my Oreo update...
for some few minor feats lacking on my X Perf, there are equal amount of Sony feats that make up for it....

Dont just talk "out of a hat"...

Essentially, the Sony software writers have nothing much to write when preparing a new Android version.

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2017Sweeeetttt Sony beaSt of cell! and also the XZ Premium crushed all other phones in speed test, it sure is the best of this year, and my predictions since its announcement in MWC were right.

Interesting to see how the Xperia XZ Premium destroyed the over priced over hyped Apple iPhone X:

AnonD-392500, 08 Dec 2017Both use same gpu but S8 have to push 1.2 million pixels mo... moreYeah, those S devices have pretty bad 2k screen optimisations....
No autoadaptive optimisation where and when it matters, like on XZ Premiums 4k screen, for better gaming and UI performance...

                  Result?
XZ Premium...twice the fps performance on max graphics, with the same gpu...(25 vs 12)

12 is pretty much a midrange level result for sth called a flagship.
And it certainly shows in real life usage(gaming and UI)...every somewhat demanding app or game stutters and lags.
                  No flagship experience there...

That 2k is certainly a gimmick in that regard, user has no benefit of it overall, as you have to actually turn on 1080p mode to have some near-flagship user experience.
Guess that is why those devices come with FHD resolution preset out of the box, by OEMs own choice.

Xperias smart 4k screen is a much smarter tech solution.

Hi! Is it still worth buying this phone now, just a couple of months away from the new release? A little problem with the new model is that, from what I've seen here and you guys as well, they went for a 18:9, 5.7" screen. That will work like S8 and up screen: black bezzels when you watch non wide videos. They did include OIS (hopefully) and increased the battery by about 200mAh. The rest of the internals are the same. I hope Sony goes for the 845 cpu because it will kill others at speed because of their Ui. Maybe, just maybe we can still dream for a 4K tablet from Sony? I know I still do...

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2017Pfft. checkout out lagsungs lagwiz ui.... hahaha :D

and I saw how the XZ Premium humiliated the S8+ in 3DMark test and the Note8 in speed test, despite booting slower than the Note8.

Sony's UI is the fastest, smoothest, and they always get the software updates first, for both 2017 and 2016 flagships.

I... moreYes, you will lose DRM keys once you unlock bootloader there's no way to restore them unless you find a solution to root with a locked bootloader to have it backed up which is impossible. I'm afraid you bought the wrong phone for flashing custom ROMs, Sony flagships are not a developer phone.
