Its like that with every single feat you Sammy fans think is Sammy made,

Realize, Sammy only steals ideas and incorp them into its android build...
Sammy is really not an innovator of any kind...more like a collector...

Tann Hauser, 24 Nov 2017I am quite sure stock had it all first, as all these first ... moreThere are no 3rd-party apps that replicate all the Samsung features I've mentioned. Custom OEM skins are advanced by at least 2 years compared to stock Android. And it's Google that takes cue from Android OEMs for features that it wants to incorporate to the later Android versions, with most of the new features from Nougat and Oreo being copied from Samsung.

Tann Hauser, 24 Nov 2017Tsss.. LOL. Wonderland talk.I would love to see Sony build an all-glass phone. Yes, they already did in previous Xperia's and they were all very fragile. Samsung phones are relatively more durable considering they have all curved glass.

All Sammy does is follow new app releases on store and then incoroprates others developers ideas into its UI....
Its been that way since always.

You shouldnt credit Sammy for those feats, but developers that first offered those through their apps on playstore.

Tann Hauser, 24 Nov 2017You an android user for sure? I doubt even that now... Yo... moreTouchwiz or Samsung Experience as it is called now is better than stock Android. New features on stock Android Oreo like always-on display, picture-in-picture, pinned apps, sleeping apps/background limit, etc., have been on Touchwiz for years now. Even the all-white user interface of Oreo was directly copied from Samsung Experience. Stock Android is just a watered-down version of Samsung Experience. Samsung Experience gives the complete and advanced Android experience.

Sony's flagship XZ1 and XZ Premium are amazing. Same design like it always was, Water Resistant like every flagship was from 2012. Camera is quite crisp but it's lowlight seems not too special.

You an android user for sure?
                        I doubt even that now...
You just used a logical paradox here...

Sony offers what is called a near stock android UI, as opossed to heavily bloatwared UI of certain vendor....
therefore its UI is fast, resource wary, without as much inbuilt bloatware most people dont ever use, and has that app called PlayStore so you can install feature apps that you actually want, need and will use...

That way it unbloats its android UI build, which is much faster, responsive and with much faster and stable android build updates....
Same approach as Pixel and Nexus phones...

IMO its a much better approach to android use than for ex Wiz, which bloats its UI with double apps for every single feat already available in stock android...., from double browser to double screenshot, making it resource hog that seriously affects its UI speed and responsitivity over a year or so...

Software Unwary users change their bloated UI devices every year or two because its UI becomes seriously bad for use...
Users complain of stuff like camera app taking 5-6 sec to even start video recording on these bloated android UI devices....
Its an approach similar to apple, that uses heavy iOS updates to purposely render 2 year old devices unusable after update, so to trick users into buying their new expensive ones, which work flawlessly....for two years...and then comes the update to ruin it all.

There is a good reason why many like the stock android approach...

AnonD-392500, 23 Nov 2017Agree with you. Too many bloatwares and yet actual function... moreYou an android user for sure?

After less than 6-8 years, Xperia mini's rubber back has disintegrated. Xperia V overheats even when doing the most minor of tasks like browsing the gallery. XA1's keyboard issues are real and widespread. My Sony camera overheats during normal use. Never experienced that with my previous Canon cameras. The camera battery drains rapidly even when removed from the camera but the Canon camera retains the charge after more than a year. You guys need to realise that Sony has always had problems with QC. I recognise that Sony has done some really innovative stuff but there are caveats to buying a Sony product that some of the people here insist on turning a blind eye towards.

Ya, since ICS all they can do is copy pasting the UI. I guess the features like double tap to wake, screenrecorderand their file manager doesnt work well in oreo, and they dont have good RD to fix it. So better remove/disable them. Poor popular vendor

Totally love Sony. My current phone is Sony xperiaZ and it's still functioning until now. It even fell at a concrete still working fine. I am a very clumsy person I always have my phone falling off my hands and Sony right here still works for me even after that. Totally rocks. I hope the new Sony phones are still as good cause if I'm getting a new phone I would love to get a Sony phone still.
