The conversion from DCI-P3 format to JPEG is an absolute necessity otherwise you won't even see the image in your browser...... Even GSMA will do the conversion during their review....... From the DxO review "The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus record photographs in the DCI-P3 colorspace, which their displays also use. DCI-P3 is newer and larger than the sRGB color space that most devices use and most web browsers assume. So to ensure that the images we used in the review display properly on a wide variety of browsers and devices, we converted the originals from DCI-P3 to sRGB using Photoshop (which is why the published test photos show Photoshop as the creator). This can slightly reduce the richness of color in some cases from what you would see when viewing the original images on a DCI-P3-calibrated display with appropriate software"

How can XZ premium score only 83 in dxo , when even a year old X performance scored 88?? Given the video stabilisation of Sony is far Ahead of the competition and every review rate XZP a good camera

M7, 22 Sep 2017When recording 4k video in this phone there's an option tha... moreIt's video encoding standards, h. 265 (HEVC) is newer and compresses the video file much more than h. 264. A lot of tvs don't support hevc, so dependent on where you want to play the video there's a choice. If you're using a computer or phone to play. hevc wins.
