Now I'm stuck on Android 9 Pie with the terrible recent menu

Brought As It Is (Wifi & Sim Issue) For Low Price Not Planning To Repair, As I Only Can Reflash Firmware & *Root If Needed* To Test Whether It Is Software Issue Or Hardware Issue.
Well If It's (Hardware Issue) I Can Use As Camera Phone, Sideload Offline Games/Music Apps Basic Task That's All.

This phone is surprisingly future-proof (well except for the bezels), I remember when people said "there isn't much content in 4K", "960 FPS is a useless gimmick", "3D Creator is a gimmick". Look where we are now: 4K is widely available on YouTube, the 3 layer stacked CMOS sensor got ripped off by Samsung and many others (cough Huawei, Xiaomi, Realme) used (fake/interpolated) software 960FPS mode, 3D Scanning is now Available on Huawei's, Samsung's and Apple's flagships.

Wish Sony would be as innovative as they are in the past and continue to support these features instead of dropping it...

mikeupd, 12 Mar 2021Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from my Xperia XZ Premium. ... moreFor the person who is looking for an upgrade. I suggest to go for the XZ2 or XZ3. I can't tell exactly how different both are since I don't own them, only thing I know is that they use the same chipset, the same RAM amount but the XZ3 is 1440p while the XZ2 is 1080p, another difference is that the XZ3 has a POLED screen and the XZ2 has an IPS LCD. You should check them out!

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from my Xperia XZ Premium. Not bothered for 5G, or pro grade cameras. Need good screen, good sound, 3.5mm jack socket, SD card slot. Ideally stay with Sony but will consider anything not Chinese. Thoughts/suggestions welcomed - Mike (UK based)

I dont know why but I feel 5 or 6 hours of consecutive hours usage isnt enough for me. Especially when watching anime or playing games. But I'm sure you guys dont care. Overall I have had this phone for about month now and the experience is great. Not perfect but great. Might get a pocophone f1 next.

Decent phone, although it REQUIRES a case, the bare phone is very slippery, and is also very easily scratched. in the week before my case arrived, 3 separate occasions where i had a firm grip (harder than you would shake a person's hand) on the phone and it slowly slid out of my hand, which caused large noticeable scratches on the back of the phone. i purchased one in 2018 and only now am i having battery issues (phone battery dies in

great full featured high performance phone even in 21'...unbeatable highest screen dpi/ppi resolution in 4k HDR for the foreseeable future; no other phone company has or will beat its ppi because it is overkill and unnecessary for normal viewing but gives great smooth unpixelated detail when using with google glasses together with HD video files

I've had mine for over 3 years now, probably my favourite phone I've ever had. Does all that I need it to do, still get a good 2+ days of battery time. As and when it does pass away and go to Silicon Heaven, I will almost certainly get another Sony unit.

Of course higher resolution and pixel density may affects battery consumption and may result decreased performance. Overall xz1 is better.
