We aim to support all premium range devices with the latest Android OS updates for two years after the device has launched. However, we do not roll out software to a device if the platform components of a device do not fully support it, since the device could get technical issues and become slower. Therefore, from a quality point of view, we decided to keep Xperia XZs on Android Oreo.

Used Sony EX55AP. The redmi note 3 sounded tooooo better. Is this bug in latest update only or its volume is universally low.

After updated to Build number 41.3.A.2.213 sound quality become worse. Especially when using original earphone (MH410c). Please make update to back the sound quality as previous version.

Sony should update this phone to Android Pie 9.0 because they promise has confirmed that it will provide Android updates for Xperia smartphones for at least two years.

Definitely Sony intends to lose clients seeing how their persistence to manufacture great phones with weak batteries. I don't know why. They do insist on it.

RMR, 04 Oct 2018I wish Sony can release an update for Xperia XZs to resolve... moreMy Xperia XZs also lag and battery consumption problems at Android 7.1. But when i upgraded to Android 8.0 to my Xperia XZs then everything is fine and become a really great phone for me. I think SONY fixed these issues at firmware with Android 8.0.
