Thanks to developers mine is still running well. Still love this phone, it is running Android 7.1.2 Nougat (Custom ROM). Still my daily driver. It is nowhere near the fastest or greatest, but it gets the job done. It's actually surprising given that it has 4 and half year old specs inside. Decent camera (If you know how to scrape a good photo; obviously in the manual mode). There are few complaints like, very low audio output, etc. Still battery life is good. Thanks to Greenify, it still survives for about a day and a half in decent usage. Thanks to the Lineage OS 14.1 and Google it has few bells and whistles like, double tab to awake, double tap on the home button to turn the screen off, one handed usage, split screen, pressing the power button for about 2 sec will turn the flash light on (when screen is off or turn the camera on, when done the same thing while the screen is on) and most importantly Okay Google support (Beta Test).

    My Xperia z speaker not working when playing media plus earpiece not working.. . Any solution?

      I was super excited to get a hold of an Xperia Z. I was using an LG Optimus G and loved it, but the deal breaker was no expandable memory.
      I saw pics of the Xperia and fell in love. Read the specs and was hooked. I sold my Optimus and got a hold of an Xperia as quickly as I could!
      First off, when I got it, it was still running JB. Hot, laggy and not at all what I was expecting from a Sony. However, right away I was informed of the Lollipop update.
      At first, it was ok. I wasn't happy with the lack of customization after having ICS, but I could live with it. Then I started having the issues again. Hot, laggy and bad service.
      My son has it now and is using it like an iPod. The media speaker gave up the ghost and the waterproof seals are gone for both ports. It gets major hot when he runs the simplest of games. I'm getting him something different when finances permit.
      Overall, really disappointed. Used to be a die hard Sony fan.

          I love Sony, I have my own. Xperia z

            : I've had my Xperia Z for over 3 years now without a problem. Never overheats, battery works fine, takes great pictures although I never use the secondary camera. I put in a 64 gig sd card so now I have more than enough storage space. I upgraded from Jelly Bean to Lollipop and didn't really notice any really big changes. I was thinking of getting the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra cause I like the idea of having a 6" screen, however this phone has no Fingerprint scanner. So I'll stick with my Xperia Z (that I really like) for the time being till one comes along with both 6" screen and fingerprint scanner. I luv Sony's cellphone designs and don't care that they have a bezel. This is now my forth Sony cell phone and I'll never buy any other brand...

              I love my sonny Xperia Z phone. I am practically in love with it. Just a few problems; the phone is always and I mean always over heating. Whether I use while charging or after charging. It drains fast also, well maybe it is the age of the phone. Also it doesn't block useless numbers and then recently my call ringtone just went off. The message tone is there but for the calls it isn't. Maybe I should consider a new model.

                  I want to point that Sony smartphones decreases the charging speed automatically whenever the phone becomes warmer from the inside.

                    One of the best phone i ever had. And still good until almost 1,5 year without any problems except warm.
                    But... This is the worst battery phone life i ever had since i use cell phones year 1999 till now. Even if i use it while charging, the phone is still discharging.

                        this is the best phone I've ever had,it's like a brick,except it gets KINDA warm and has short battery life,but oh well an external battery does the job! I mean holy shit,spec wise this shit was a beast when released and still is,lmfao

                          I will not choose any more this Sony phones.
                          One yer before I buy one Sony Xperia c4 from UAE.than I use that phone almost 5 mounths.i gating complaints. Than i give to service center. They take almost 15 days for the service. Than i use that phone after 1 mounths same complat. Than i give like 3 times.no benefit for that still I'm gatting same complaints. Plz don't take Sony phones. Friends

                            They mix between battery discharge time or short battery life and problems of draining battery...
                            This phone does not have a good battery life but it doesn't drain or die suddenly . In fact it is normal for a battery to drain very fast after using the phone heavily from 2-3 years. This problem will be solved with a new genuine Sony z 2330 ml battery.

                              After two years and with a heavy usage it becomes bad.
                              I regretted buying this phone because of its small battery. And Sony is still stupid because they still produce good phones with a a small decent battery. Even if the phone becomes heavy I don't care. Sony please be clever and give people phones with a good battery life.

                                I love my Sony Experia Z however I don't use the data much. The one problem I do have with it is that I have been having a real problem nuisance caller for the last three years and there is no way to block the number (Iphones can). Apparently I have to download an apt, however , the Apt that I have to go to to begin this process appears to be missing from my Google aps. Nevertheless, for someone my age (69), this is a very easy phone to access and my battery lasts me 4 days because I don't use the internet much. Good one Sony, I will get another one when this one dies - it is three years old

                                    good if don't mind to charge it 2 times a day while using data ,if wifi it's ok , camera is good , sound not that loud , if you drop it without cover case.. it's a problem because back cover is from glass and the lcd not " gorilla " , it overheat fast and shotdown itself while using data . so it's fast ,you'll have about 11GB internal free memory, it's good phone if you're not attached to use it all day in your hand.

                                      I'm using this phone right now and it's still fast . Well done sony for making a durable phone. I don't think I would get a new phone unless sony release bezeless smartphone with great camera.

                                        Me and my friend brought this phone together. After a year her phone stopped charging. Like it was not even detecting charging port. Did everything with it and nothing worked. She lost all her data. Same happened with me after a month. It was working great and at midnight it denied to charge and after that it was just a piece of plastic. I lost all my data. Me and my friend were fan of some but now we are so scared and decided never to buy Sony.
