cal, 07 Jan 2013Perfect phablet. Shame about the hideous button on the side... moreThis is not a phablet, it's a phone. From this year phones which have 5 inch are NOT considered phablets anymore. Every Android smart phone maker are working on 5 inch screen phones. This has become the trend for 2013. Next year we will see phones with 5.2 or 5.3 inch screen. Mobile devices are become bigger and bigger these days.
Just imagine if in 2008 a company had made a mobile phone with 4.7 inch screen, people would said it's not a phone anymore, because they seen smaller phones, but that was a phone. When Samsung introduced the original Galaxy Note, that was NOT considered as a phone, because it was TOO big in comparison with other phones(at that time many phones had screens between 4.3-4.5 inch). Now as you can see this has changed.

Anyway as I know Samsung, they will shake the world with the GS4 as they did with the GS2 and GS3. I think it will be hard for Sony to remain the second Android smart phone maker, because Motorola will become stronger, and let's not forget LG who are working very hard.
Sincerely I don't believe Sony can make better smart phones than Samsung. Sony was always behind Samsung in terms of features(which are very important). OK, Sony smart phones looks better, but Samsung phones can do much more than Sony phones, Samsung always sell much more Android phones then Sony, they care for their customers. Samsung is clever. We will see what will happen this year with Sony, how many Xperia Z they will sell.

i like this phone and I will buy it because this is the only high end phone with dual sim option.

Anyway, who gives a damn....I want the Xperia ZL and could give two hooots what anyone else thinks. My choice my phone and each to their own! I believe it is called choice and no one is going to make like something just because they do. I swore never to own another Samsung after mysterious cracks on my blue S3 and worse still shocking customer service from Samsung. Had to pay the service in Teddington £134 to fix a new one. All Samsung did was bounce me from customer service to customer support. Poor build quality is a fail for me everytime!

I will buy this if it will have Dual SIM, because I am waiting for high end phone with dual sim a lot, also for a bigphone we need 3500 mAh battery

Does not look like it supports LTE. Dual-SIM is a plus though!
