Cons in my xperia z1
1. Heating while using camera,playing games
2.the picture quality of the camera is very worst,pictures are washed out,niosy&blurry pictures
3.screen mirroring doesn't works on my lg tv, where the xperia z works fine

No one can answer if the Lollipop 5.0 update will solve a lot of issues/bags of Xperia Z1 esp camera and heating problem because Xperia Z1 is Old Smartphone today and the 1st priority of Sony is Z2/Z3 that is why this is the company technique to push the users to buy a latest phone to taste the new android version in 1yr only.
Big Question is:
Why iOS still to update smartphone from iphone 4s upto the latest iphone 6?????????

sometimes the camera does not work in 4.4.4 kik-kat.
and it heats up very fast.baterry also drain fast in 4.4.4 kik-kat.hope this will be solve in 5.0 lollipop.

I got my unit yesterday and it surprised me with it's heating issues.
While using camera or playing any game or web browsing, it got soooo heated up that I couldn't do a phone call with it (can't place a heated device on my ear for more than a minute).
It feels irritating to carry a heating device in your pocket when you are on the way.
The front camera isn't good either (even a moto G 2nd gen phone is far better).
I have used a micromax phone for over an year and it never got heated up while playing games, browsing internet or calling.
I am wondering why didn't GSMARENA guys notice or mentioned it?

Z1 is a good ph bt after 1.5 year used my ph is a big problem face now, after 80% battery charge switch off the phone... nd highly hit the phone

No battery problem on my xperia z1. The only problem of my device is have a lot of lags esp camera sometimes can't open and sometimes blurred. I think Nexus 5 and Xperia Z1 has the same quality interms of camera lens because these two devices have a natural color image output. In short no saturation like Samsung S3, S4, S5, Alpha, S6.

Most people face battery drain fast with new kitkat firmware.But i never face this problem in build number108 and now 157.No battery drain fast.long last battery for me.

Hi,
Here's to the people with all the touchscreen issues, first thing you need to do when you get the phone is put a screenguard on it, front & back, I did it and have never put a case on it, I just replaced the screen guard after 8-10 months and the screen is as good as new, also dont (even by mistake) take the shatter proof coating off the screen
Then for the people who are cribbing about battery, if I charge my phone 100% in the morning when I leave home, and the internet is on all the time, and I keep it on stamina mode, when I go to sleep I still have around 35-45% battery left.
Then for those who crib about the camera been bad, I cliked pictures of my son in manual mode & have taken printouts of 3feet by 4 feet, crisp & clear, no issues
Also I putchased the phone on 23rd November 2013, since then not even a single time I remember my phone has freezed or lagged, its completely smooth (FYI I run Go launcher not the default Xperia launcher, coz there are a lot more options in go launcher)
For the people talking about durability/self cracking, My son has thrown the phone 5-6 times (every angle possible, corners, flat on front, flat on back,) & the phone has nothing but minor dents on the corners, thats it.
It was the best phone when it was released, (of course later on they released Z2 & Z3/Z3C)
