Sony tweeted on twitter that their build is ready and some final testing is in progress...update will be rolling out soon by March 3-4th week for z1.
bear in mind they said Feb but its ONLY for Z3.
so Z3 > Z2 > Z1 > Z...this is how it will be doing in a phased manner...
if you want to taste lollipop you can check custom roms on XDA.

Cheap smartphones are already getting the update.
Please release update for sony z1 as early as possible.

If so this might be what causes the touchscreen issue.
You should be able to fix this by applying a screen protector.

Stupid camera and i don't know what is wrong of this device Z2 and Z3 have a great camera.
Please fix the big issue of Z1 in lollipop update.

Hey guys! I wanted a great phone for at least 2 years for the use in future! The phone shouldn't lag or reboot or give other errors between the period ! So is the xperia z1 worth of that ? I don't want to put this in water ! But will wash it in the sink ! Is that okay ?

The waterproof plug that covers the charging port is weak and can fail(best to get the magnetic charging port)

Emazio, 03 Mar 2015in the specs it says the battery is unremovable...what happ... moredon't worry it's non-removable that's right. but you can always take it to service center, and they can change the battery for you. if you don't have service center then you can take it to a phone shop they know how to remove it.
keyword is. it is non-removable, but sony didn't say that it's non-replaceable
