I have been using this phone for past 5 months. Everyday use of nearly 5hrs/day. though it hanged couple of times, its silky smooth otherwise. love this phone. only drawback is the phone's weight and width. width could have been made less. Weight is also an issue. Apart from that, the battery back up, music, video, photo editing, camera, each of the thing i would rate it as best. Never regret buying a sony product.

very good mobile very good performance.. everythhing working very nicely but ...
Camera is realy shit.. its showing not working especially on needed occasion. realy realy i feel bad about this.. Sony customer care also so poor they didnt overcome this problem yet ... hope will rectify before i left sony :)

Based on experience, the screen can crack. This is really BAD!

This is an excelent phone! Its fast, smooth, and for once, it does what It says on the box, I used it underwater, no problem... Had it a year now, and still going strong...
Temperature is a little problem thow... When using the camera it sometimes gets a little too hot...

What about cracking screen? I have read that that happens without reason.

Guys just a week b4 ive purchased xperia z1 ...... Camera 20 MP is just useless and secondary camera is worst worst...... At the same day my friend bought HTC 816 its camera is 13MP and secondary is 5MP but its camera is worst than xperia...... Friends since 5 months my brother is using iphone 5.... Trust me its osm camera both primry and secondary fantastic,fabulous .... My advice is prefer iphone it wont sucks,it wont hang or any thing.... Diz s safeer 4m bangalore

I have had HTC One, Samsung S3, Asus Zenfone 5 LTE, LG Nexus 5, and Sony Z1 C6903. Of all these my favourites for performance and nice to use, are the Asus Zenfone5 LTE and the Sony Z1 of which I have kept after tiring of the others quite quickly. The Zenfone has the Qualcom Snapdragron 400 processor, compared to the Z1 which has the Snapdragon 800, theoretically twice as quick, but hard to tell in general usage. In value for money, the Zenfone 5LTE is far better than the Sony Z1, but the Sony has 'quality', so money aside, I go for the Sony Z1..... but.... all those different models, eg: 6902/6903/6906.... is there any difference, and if not, what are the different designations for?
Oh, by the way, I did have an Iphone 4S,,,, a horrible, tiny, complicated phone, poor apps (compared to Google Android) and compulsion to 'belong' to Apple.

When Sony Xperia Z1 released I was one of the first customers to buy the handset from Flipkart with lot of excitement...But trust me, I am experiencing pathetic customer service from the customer care and service center department.
Sony being a worldwide brand for electronics and home appliances, every customer expects to get prompt and appropriate service for their products, but in my case I failed to receive satisfactory service for a premium product like Xperia Z1…..
1. On 24th December when I woke up in the morning I saw my Xperia Z1 display having a crack from inside the cabinet.. There was no damage on the external glass but however, the display had cracked from inside.. A single scratch cannot be seen from the external where the display has cracked….
2. In my case the local service center people are asking me to pay 18,000+ rupees to replace my handset completely instead of replacing the display although my handset is under warranty and the display had also cracked on it's own from inside. There is no sign of external damage on the screen.
3. Sony Customer Care executives and Sony Service Center are not well trained and they do not understand customer grievances. They are least bothered about the customer satisfaction and only think of ways to extract more money from the customer. Nobody bothered to give me a callback to update me about the status. I had to keep following up with the customer care helpline as well as the Sony Service Center. I know few acquaintances who had similar experience with Service Center, Bhubaneswar.
4. My handset contained some photographs in the internal storage with my father who expired this year and that was more valuable to me. I requested the service center to take the backup of my phone but they refused that it cannot be done as display is cracked .If I can do the data backup after exploring the internet for few hours then why can't the technicians employed by Sony do the same ??? Aren't they qualified enough???
5. While I handed over the handset to the service center there was a small area of damage to the display but when I received the handset from them the area of damage had increased significantly.. I have the photographs available with me..
6. I had heard that Sony Xperia Z1 is a flagship model and during service period the service center provides a temporary handset but in my case no temporary handset was also issued to me.
7. After sending an email to Sony Senior Management in India Sony Head Office Support team sent an email stating I have to pay 50% of MRP for refurbished handset without accessories and 80% of MRP (Rs 28,500/-) for fresh handset without accessories….. Prices offered by local Sony Service Center and head office vary significantly which proves there is no baseline price… Whatever happens to your handset Sony people will simply ask you to pay another 20k -30k instead of replacing the faulty equipment…
It’s really frustrating as Sony Customer Service people are asking me to pay another 28k for the handset which is under warranty and the screen has also cracked on its own due to faulty design/bad quality equipment being used.
Trust me guys the service being offered by Samsung for Galaxy S4 which is a comparable model with Z1 is much better than Sony… Sony is having the worst after sales service… I would like to request everyone not to go by brand instead buy the products having better after sales service to make your life hassle free……

The quality in 21 Mega pixel is not good, front camera is too bad.battery heating tooooo much. camera qualiyy is nit a problem, you can go ahead....
