Gladijajator, 25 May 2014Keep your RAM usage below 60-65%,get rid of the unused appsHeating is my least concerning issue. Battery and stablity is top priority. It heats when just in standby or listening to music.
When intensive tasks it is normal to get hot.
Thanks for your advice.
Ps: someone told me to get rid of sd card to solve heating and battery draining

I hate the phone. It can't cope. It breaks down all the time. The battery life is rubbish, needs charging throughout every day. The keyboard is put of control. It drives me MAD. I would swap for ANYTHING THAs

Phone is heating faster and at higher temperature than on jb, battery drains quickly when screen is on.
Poor supporr from sony, and for a company playing for the top spot this is not a good mark.
I consider htc, samsung and recently lg far better than sony, i will try to stay away from sony smartphones in the future.

Hi.I have updated software to kitkat 4.4.2 build number 14.3.a.0.757 but I'm having a problem with my camera.it heats up so badly that it warns me and closes itself.any ideas what to do?

Total waste of money, camera quality very poor specially for such a high end mobile. The picture shows black points when you zoom picture.Also its water proof but its gets heat up very quickly. In day time it shows message camera not functioning properly due to overheating. You play some high end game its get heat-up very quickly......Not expected from sony

I got this phone yesterd... moreJb is ok. Camera to be that noisy?! Are those photos taken indoor? Please check the manual setting, try to go outdoor and do some pictures.
If the camera bothers you now, after kitkat you won't notice it because of other several issues.
Don't update to kitkat. Stay on kitkat and tweek your camera to obtain better results.

Kitkat very bad for z1 and make a lot of probplems for the device, i used sonyericsson since 2002 but i think last time i buy sony model, customer service very bad and no support

Hi All,
what about battery life while using mobile data and net browsing ? how much time should I expect it to last? Also is it better to stay with JellyBean or go for KitKat ?
And for the people who already have updated to KK 757 does it make any difference using Sony service update or Sony PC companion ? what's better to use for update ?

Untouched ROM
Pros :
1. Omnibalance design
I do not like Android with softkey removed from the screen. I do not like physical button on the front neither back.
I Like the sony's omnibalance design.
2. 20.7 MP camera (very fast capture)
I am not a photographer so i have no complaint with the photo's result. What i see on my photo result, it was great.
3. Magnetic Dock Charging Mode
No need to open the cover flap for charging. Just put it or pick it from the dock charger.
4. IP 55/58 with non removable back cover and battery
It is a must in the rainy day.
Removable back cover and removable battery is annoying.
5. Hard Reset button next to sim card socket
For me, when the phone freeze, this button is savior.
6. Very Smooth performance and good battery life
Use it for 3D games (ex. Asphalt 8) and 2D Games (ex. Clash of Clan) email, chat (Gmail,BBM,WA,others) and the performance is awesome. Battery life is good.
7. Physical button for camera
This is good, very good, when it used underwater
8. Good bezel size and screen size
I Do not like minimum bezel for gaming purpose, try it and you will believe it when you use ur phone for gaming.
Cons :
1. Over sensitive touchscreen when the screen is dirty (cleaning the screen surface will fix this problem)
2. TFT LCD (for me this is not a big problem, because I prefer to use my phone with minimum brightness)
3. Problem on launch application when a lot of apps is opened and minimized at the same time (restart the phone will fix this problem)
4. Loudspeaker and headphone socket position (not a good position for landscape gaming)
5. Heat problem in multi core SOC
Heat problem is not only happen in this phone / brand,
Other brand have the same condition.
Note that, I use other brands too.. and use it under the same condition, gaming and browsing and chatting, and all the multi core SOC will face the same heat problem.
And If there are bugs in the stock ROM, there are a lot of custom ROMs for replacing the stock one.
