Raj , 21 Jan 2014I have updated my os from android 4.2 to 4.3 from Sony soft... moreSounds like you have the same problem as me. To fix this you need to connect your z1 to your computer and run sony pc companion. From what i can remember it was asking me to repair phone as mine wasn't updated properly. Just one thing though, make sure you back up your phone first as this will completely wipe your z1 to factory settings.

I owned xz and xz1, battery life in xz1 last more than a day....xz from 7am til 2pm need to recharge the battery. While my xz1 will last the next day for recharge! I think you don't have xz1, maybe only xz. Even my xz upgraded to 4.3, the battery life is same as previous 4.2.2

I got my z1 about a month ago and it's worth that big cash. What a PC. It's not phone.

I have updated my os from android 4.2 to 4.3 from Sony software updates, since then I am not able to play the games such as temple run subway surf etc. The screen is going blank. Can any one suggest me on how to overcome this problem. Thanks in advance.

Rada, 20 Jan 2014I have switched from my Xperia Z to Z1... I like the water ... moreZ has Gorilla Glass on the back and a better DragonTrail glass on the front. Z1 also has DragonTrail in the front, but I'm not sure if Z1 has GG2 on back or also DragonTrail there now.
In any case,they don't break often and if you broke two - well, blame your self and how you use your phone. I assume you have boken it since you said shattered, and not scratched.

You can detach it using needle. But beware, the "sony" logo is printed there. If you detached it, no more sony logo.

I have switched from my Xperia Z to Z1... I like the water proof and its design. The camera quality is ok. The speed is also not bad. But both of my phone have the Same problem... My Z has crack at the back before I sold it... My Z1 now has crack on both back glass and front screen. The worst thing is... I have never even dropped them... (cheap TEMPER GLASS)...

hi guys currentlly im working in a phoneshop and im using the z1 for marketing purpose anyway the phone is really good fast no lagging beautiful display but the camera wich all of the customers are talking about is really bllury is not 20mp i know i went to manual setting i change the mp my self but nothing happend i allready update the phone to 4.3 the latest firmware is anything else i can to do to fix if or the best camera from sony is just a lie

RMC, 19 Jan 2014No. There is an instruction that says keep away from salt w... moretoo late to read. thought the build design gonna keep water from entering the phone's internal. nonetheless got few issues already with the phone. touch screen issue and scratched/cracked back glass. not sure how, it just pop back there

Both can last 2 days on low usage and a day on moderate use. I never needed stamina mode on my Z, even if out all day with active HSDPA connection, it consumes very little on standby anyway.

Z1...the best gadget I have bought till date. (have used Nokia 6670,HTC Viva,Motorola XT502,Samsung Ace Plus)
Nice form factor,with wonderful features. I am very much in love with the 20.7 MP cam! Wonderful clicks! But as one would expect with 20.7 MP clicks, one soon runs out of memory ;) Sleek GUI and launcher. All apps work smoothly without lag or errors. There are a few bloatwares, but you can get rid of them easily without affecting anything else. I installed a few games and apps, all worked very well.
The only two things that annoyed me were; Album app:I somehow didn't like the way pictures are displayed. I prefer the Samsung/Moto way that displays it folder-wise (there might be a way in Z1, but I haven't explored it yet..) The other that made me worry was handset getting real hot with extended use in Android 4.2, but haven't noticed that after 4.3 upgrade. It has all the features one requires on a phone and nothing on it seems uncessary...Thumbs up for this one...my best buy yet!

Using Z1 for a month now . Anyone who is saying that the battery lasts over 10 hours of heavy usage is just plain lying . I am not a noob , switching from a Note2 .
Processor is snappy but as everyone said previously it does heat up bad to level where its uncomfortable to use . And yes other phones that i have used previously also heat up for the same task but not to such extent .
My camera flash is not good , Produces white blur and lots of noise . Maybe a defect but found out that many users are facing this problem . Did anyone get a replacement for this problem ?
Not much issue with the viewing angle , its ok , just there is slight fading of colors nothing bad .
Other then these issues the phone is infact very good but for the price i paid for it i had expected better .
