i guess the older brother the Z is better and cheaper and has smaller bezel.
the only thing i hate about it is that you cant hear a damn thing from the stupid loud speaker.

hello guys i want to buy a smartphone for best sound n best camera quality. witch one i should buy xperia z1 or lg G2 n why? some review says that sometime z1 camera response like 5mp camera.is it true? n some user of G2 says that nexus 5 camera is witch is 8mp better then 13mp G2 cam. iam totly cofuse. plz guys sugges me.

thank you sony for the larger bezel, you can fit a 6" screen in there.
the should have named it Sony Xperia Bezel 1

I bought my device a few days ago
I was trying to send files via wifi direct. And it's not working, same as receiving files. Please help me. I used google to search for procedures. Wasn't able to find answers. >…< so depressing.

One of the worst handset by sony....
1) Camera worst...
2) Heats up...
3) Lag everytime...
4) Battery sucks...
5) Display clarity not impressed...
6) Automatically files goes closed...
7) Waterproof is not a worth....
8) Service main issue...
Totally sony Z1 sucks....Sony please give good products from next time....Samsung Galaxy Note3 is better than this...It as so many good features...Least company Lg G2 is also good compare to Sony Z1....I hate Sony....Friends please go to anyother brands.....

I bought xperia z1 two weeks ago.
Yesterday I removed the shatter proof film front and back but now I have touch issues with the screen sometimes not respond and always when touch some point it touches it two or three times like when iam browsing and want to go to the previous page when back button touched it brings me to two previous page.
Then I knew that the glass isn't oleophobic like the shatter film.
What's the solution for me??!

i throw it on my aquarium by the first day when i take my Z1 to test it. after 3' i washed it in my kitchen to clean it and throw wAter in my handsfree hole. it work great still after 1 week. Best buy device!

Slayer, 15 Nov 2013Not gonna happen as according to Steve Jobs himself, Apple ... moreI've got a z1 (sorry had 2 because 1st one was basically broken and was unliveable with) and it's the 2nd worst android phone I've had 1st being Sony Ericsson Xperia play. It's ui is awful, no features at all, its screen isn't great, camera isnt great, battery is awful, connectivity to 2g, 3g and 4g is awful, it's body is too big for screen size, having an aluminium body with glass is stupid, it overheats all the timr it isn't scratch, dust not shatter proof seeming mine has a chip in the screen from nothing the only conciliation I can give this phone is it runs very smooth expect when it crashes running little things and then not being able to do anything for 10 mins (same problem with both Z1's I've had) the speaker is awful, starts crackling at half volume and found out half of it is for looks (middle to left side of speaker). The best phones you can get are Samsung Gs4 and note 3, used both (my gf has Gs4 and her dad note 3) and I've not seen a flaw yet. I've had 2 Gs3's, standard and lte and they both out perform the z1 by a mile, really disappointed with Sony because this phone looked promising.

its too big in size, i hate apple phones but apple mobile size is just best one.... mobile is till mobile u can put in your pocket if u need other bag for mobile its means its not a mobile anymore... so make a size for pocket not for a special bag... thanx...

First of all, I'm very happy that Sony is really setting up in the smartphone world. Z1 ia definitely a great phone, the best I had actually. But should Z1s has an IPS as per the rumor mill, I guess that's a real let down for Sony for not having that in Z1 considering it is their current flagship. Form factor wise Z1 is better but if the IPS for Z1s is true then Z1s will have the upper hand. This just makes me feel a bit I don't know, should I say disappointed or let down for the Z1. Hope you got what I wanted to say. Of course I didn't want to downgrade as I was after bigger screen and now I'm happy that I finally got it. I guess nobody's perfect but should it be true I think Sony should have listened to their customers before they released their 2013 line up. Just my thoughts.

Wooow !!! I'v neva used a smart and unique fone like xperia Z1...I was using iphone 4s but I later on felt discourage and go for xperia Z1

Iphone looks like a green board eraser for me. With its Length-to-Width ratio of 123.8/58.6=2.11 which is similar to HTC One(another Huge Bezel lover) at 2.00, this more than the average I have computed with several smartphones at 1.957- a better Length-to-Width proportion closr to the Golden Ratio, Iphone5/5S and HTC One, geometrically looks ugly as the phone looks much longer relative to screen size- it's out of proportion...
