Xperia Z1 = 20 MP
Xperia ZL = 13 MP
Xperia Ultra = 8 MP
SOMY's camera is better than others. The 20 MP and 2.2 GHz Quad core Z1 can beat others. Nokia 1020 has 41 MP camera but processor only 1.5 Duel core which is surprising low speed phone of 41 MP camera in current market.
But why samsung, sony, htc, iphone are not using xenon flash for there camera at night shot!??

Sony is not offering their best camera technology for their cameraphones indeed. The fact is that they have a seperate competitive digital camera market. If they need to give customers the best cameraphone in the world, sure they have all the technology and ability to do that. look at their digital cameras like RX100 and the Full Frame marvel RX 1 those have big sensor in such compact bodies.They keep the balance in their smartphones. that's the thing I like in their handsets. They've fitted a comparatively larger image sensor in Z1 with no hump. That's something most people praise when it comes to consider a mobile phone.

Sony walkmanphone, 17 Sep 2013i don't even regard ur comments wp os is too inferior to an... moreThats true but Z1 is still fit to battle Nokia camphones regardless of OS, so far its been a tossup of win and lose but in low light Z1 is the most consistent so far.
And then we have the very impressive 20mp shot of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur that shows what Z1 can do in good light, maybe 1020 and 808 can do that with same or better detail and noise, but will surely lose in color reproduction and white balance, no doubt which will make the most true to life photo.

He is getting heavily criticized, he doesnt even get the best out of Lumia 1020, like that nightshot, its horrible, one of the worst i seen, yet he praises it. He love stupid trick shots, not true to life.
If i take a photo at night i dont want blown out highlights, here he cant even make ONE shot with the 1020 where the neon signs in the iso test are readable, not even the big signs, but at iso 200 its still readable with Z1, how come 1020 failed at all iso settings tested? Now thats interesting, but actually its not, all Nokia have overexposure and white balance way off. If it was ok on the lower iso settings then we could blame the no-clue selfappointed professional, but failing on all iso settings is in line with other Nokia camphones, that combined with a "pro" that makes no sense in his manual settings should be a good recipe for disaster, and the results for 1020 is a disaster here, way to blown out highlights everywhere.

He claims to be a pro, and all he does is test out stupid settings to make ARTISTIC photos. Like the nightshot, look at that ridiculous thing the 1020 produced, look at it! its a trick photo, highlights are blown out far.
And why is the Z1 nightshot a bit dark? Because he insisted on using iso 100, imagine, iso 100 at night with 1/8 sec exposure? Thats what commenters there pointed out as SABOTAGE, he is deliberately giving Z1 a disadvantage, and using 32 times longer exposure on the 1020, of course its brighter, but even if he sabotage the Z1, it still win, look for yourself.
And then go to the iso test further down, once again the "professional" defends the 1020, even if the neon sign with the name of the hotel isnt readable on ANY of the 1020 shots. Then look at the iso 200 shot by Z1, its by far the best, and its only iso 200, well done indeed.
Thats a big win for Z1, and if he didnt insist on his "pro manual settings" then even daylight shots would be better on Z1. Some professional, its so laughable how he destroy everything with his setting. Someone even asked him if it doesnt bother him that amateurs get much better photos than him. And thats regardless of phone, that guy could make any pro camera look terrible.

who care about Nokia,in comparisons z1 bring down your 1020,z1 without hump capturing beautiful pictures,z1 with latest softwares than outdated Window operating system.

Im your Sony user, Sony Z1 is the best then Samsung,Nokia and Iphone.. even those Iphone that spec still working only CPU 1.3 or 1.4ZGHz dualcore.. but compare other smartphone like HTC,SONY and SAMSUNG great specifications. by the way Good Job Sony..
