I appreciate Sony's effort on improving every aspect of this phone but they should have kept the dimensions down. Anything more than 70mm wide is too wide and 150 Grams too heavy.

You couldn't... moreHe didn't make it up but for such a thing to happen he need to be very reckless, it cannot be called an accident when you manage to put a phone in that kind of situation, and then I don't see why Sony should do as he expect and make an extra effort to repair his phone.
Even if they repaired his phone I suspect a piano would fall on it next, bottom line is that he need a Caterpillar phone and even that can't survive long when the weather forecast said "partly clouded with occasional falling tables".

xperia Z1 price maybe 44,900 its very coustly.. but xperia Z1 have TFT display.. its not good for sony brand so plz wake up sony'sss.. samsung display quality is awesome Amoled, Super Amoled...
I like sony mobile but i think sony'sss brand sleeping....

I have bought Xperia Z 5 months back. and accid... moreA table accidentally fell on it? Tables do not "accidentally" fall on anything, and they are heavy, so yes i dont doubt its irreparable, you probably busted or bent the frame.
I do admit that the way Z is built is less than optimal, the use of glue is an unfortunate sideeffect of the glass back.

Those who complain about display, AA did a Z1 vs G2, and this is what they said...
"The Xperia Z1 has great viewing angles, and the colors really pop out. The brightness levels is also really impressive in this handset."
"The G2′s viewing angles are decent, and thanks to the IPS display, brightness levels are above average. Colors don’t pop as much as they do in the Z1, but they’re still enjoyable."
Not much doubt which is better here.
About the recent 2 vs 3GB RAM discussion, of course Z1 should have 3GB, since Note 3 has it, specs does matter even if not useful. Some recent Xperia phones behave bad in RAM saving using Chrome browser, open a few tabs, return to your first after a while and the tab will reload. Too agressive RAM saving, 3GB would have given more headroom. Anyway i hope SOny fixes this in an update (it was much better in 4.1.2 than 4.2.2), autoclose and subsequent reloading of tabs can even cause unfortunate incidents, i once used Android phone, cant remember which, to order and pay an airline ticket, almost $1000, and then after successful online payment i used another tab, went back to the order tab, it reloaded and i got scared as F that i would be charged another almost $1000 transaction. More RAM = less aggressive RAM saving, not only do i want it but i need it.

Hi Guys,
I have bought Xperia Z 5 months back. and accidentally table fell on backside of my phone, backpanel and front left top corner touchscreen got crack and rest everything is working fine. Only top half of touch screen is not working..
And I took it to service center and after 30 min of diagnosis they came back with phone and they said this model is not repairable so it may cost nearly 30k to replace the whole handset..
Only for backpanel and touch screen why we have to pay 30k, does it make any sense..
Really frustrated with Sony service.......

Remember the days when people said 720p dis... morenoob??? its u whos noob...even with 2gb ram u still get 1.5gb free wats the point in puttng 3gb ram an burst ur pocket for extra ram??? without xeon sony is doing superb an thats even gona cost low... u put xeon an den u pay 10 k more.... its time where sony are workn smartly now by putn cost effectiv tec wich are almost good as the expensiv tec... eg nokia big lense but still z1 rips the lumia

The following would have made ... moreYou don't really need 3 GBs RAM. 2 GBs is quite enough and you won't even reach full RAM usage (apart from 3 since nobody will use odd number of RAMs due to stability issues). About the internal memory, 16 GBs is quite good and it gives you the option to add external SD card up to 64 GBs. It isn't restricting you to the internal memory :)
