main board is broken after 1 year and 5 months of usage. no chances of recovering data that is still in the phone :(

After sales service an... moremy z1C has an auto shutdown problem.the phone says it's temperature is too high and it needs to cool down.but actually the device dosen't even get warm.it automatically turns off before a minute after powering on.battery temperature is shown above 70 degrees most of the times.i contacted the nearest sony service center and they were like never heard of it before.so i went to the service center and talked about my problem.but what they told me was the most ridiculous reply i have ever heard.''sony won't repair xperia z1 compact and z ultra and there is only exchange offer available for these two models''.

what ?? what am i to do now ? my phone shuts down by itself for no reason and the people who should repair it are saying they won't do it because sony says so. please someone tell me what to do now.for the exchange offer to be done i must have the bill - which i threw away with trash!!

Now I have a b... moreI also have the same problem, battery power burn very fast and the phone become a hand warmer after upgraded to 5.1.1. Then I tried the "restore to factory" in backup & restore and it performed very well now. Hope it can help.

It's saving grace is that no hanging, very rare. Sony alongside HTC, Apple used to be best phone maker, but I'm afraid the new brands are better than them.

I have almost used this phone for two years. Now I have a big problem with the battery which does not last long and I guess it may have been because of the software update. I am not sure how to reverse it. Overall, in the last two years I am satisfied with it except the recent shortcoming.

i have this phone it came from nttdocomo, open line it works as expected it runs smootly and meet the expectation i love it how ever after 9 mouths of use the problem that i encounter is i cant write or copy any files in memory card no matter what brand and model i repair the memory card but still the same the FTP of the phone is the one w/ca problem it wont allow me to copy or use it into such aplication even also it needs to beregisterd back to docomo, i belive these phone but still may be in need to find some thing morecompetent than sony let me update it later

This phone is amazing deal if u manage to get it around 200bucks. Just add 20 bucks to get a temperglass and a rubber case and there you go, a slick powerful phone with two days battery life. Loved the iphone 5s but the battery just can't match with the z1 compact.

I have this phone for almost two years and I think it's great. It has never let me down, but on the other hand I'm not a very needy user. Camera and sound are great, battery is amazing and it looks beautiful (it's pink). I just get a little annoyed sometimes when the screen picks up fingerprints, but, since it's waterproof, I just wash it under water.I only have to point out that I bought it without a contract and I think that it's a better choise.

Mind you the battery is on so called "stamina" mode. I imagine I would get like 3 hrs or less on normal battery.

It's good in one area only - this thing will not hang needlessly. Aside from that, the camera is bad (20mp is a gimmick), the display is bad (colors are rather dull and dark scenes are terrible), the music player is quiet both in loudspeaker and headphones, the battery struggles to get 4 hrs 3g browsing time. I'm done with Sony, moving on to Huawei, heard Samsung lags after few months.

fuk sony z1c, sony acro s was better and im still using it while my z1c often shutdowns itself even if I still have 80% of battery life and SSC told me that I should change the motherboard and battery w/c costs 12,000php grr that's too much better buy a new one -_-

I love this phone. I've been using Android Phones since they launched and I noticed fast battery consumption with a lot of handset models (even non-Android, like Apple and Windows). I usually connect to the internet in certain parts of the day, make phone calls, chat online, send and receive SMSs, take photos and videos, play music... but still Xperia Z1 Compact has battery stamina that lasts for two days. There was even a time that it lasted for three days when I have not connected to the internet... It's just BRILLIANT!!!
The phone runs smooth. It responds fast. Playing music is jaw-dropping especially when you set your favorite settings with the equalizer... The highs, mids and lows are amazing. Sound is clear. I use the same bluetooth stereo headset (Jabra Clipper) with different handsets, and the audio from Xperia Z1 Compact stands out.
And the camera... The camera settings took me a while to understand. I read blogs and tips on using it, until I got the right settings for every need. I am into natural color, that is why I love Sony. The phone gives clear vivid pictures (pores of the skin are seen when you zoom in a photo). The fine details of a leaf or flower are obvious upon taking a shot. I even took a photo of a multicolored caterpillar and it was perfect... You can also set the focus of the camera... I call this, my "mini DSLR." You can make the subject clear or blurred in a shot. Kudos to Sony.
I know that Sony continuously improves their phones and gadgets. I look forward to the day that people would recognize your works. May more people see that products less advertised outdo the performance of those well seen on TV, print, the internet and on adboards.

My phone did i have buy 25 dec 2014. I have also update android 5.1.1. This problem now is the back phone is always too high when i playing the games. Watching the video and others. Can you tell me what have i do?
