Just wondering, how come that people can vote on a phone that havn't been announced/exists yet?
Do they see the future and can judge the phone that will come in the next 5 years?

I think that it is similar to xperia V. The difference is in the camera (20 versus 13), and the battery (the Z1s one is bigger, but the xperia v is replazable)

Since the camera of xperia V (13 mp) is good, and it has been proved that sensor R is better than sensor Rs (despite advertisement). I cant see this smartphone like something good, knowing that xperia v is much cheaper.

When sony woke up and design a smartphone without borders, i will buy it. The screen should be adapted to the size

Wageris, 25 Nov 2013Incorect....if i would show you 2 4.3inc screens with those... moreYou are assuming you have good vision and I will prove you wrong.

People with poor vision compensate in a lot of different ways to fool themself into believing that they are ok, its normal, but reality catches up one day, and then you'll feel stupid. If you think 350ppi is perfect then you do not have optimal vision, at least not if you are much below 40 years old. 350 is good though, but very far from perfect.

I wont be buying it, I dont need new phone for next year+, but if sony keeps going on this trend of good designs, good hardware, and decent pricing, I will be going back to what once was part of my favorite phone maker, Sony (Ericsson). Looking forward to it.

I have xperia s that has 342ppi.. And it is one of the best screen as of 4.3"... Actually 342 is too high for 4.3" phone.. Its perfect compare to other phones that has 4.3 - 4.8 (s3,one x)screen that has below 330ppi... And its not on the color.. Try comparing phones that has different ppi, including iphone, and try to playback some videos. There you can distiguish the difference + the icons..

robot286, 20 Nov 2013How is 342 PPI low?The difference between 441PPI and 342PPI... moreTrusy me, it is a big difference, and it's easily visible for people with normal eye focusing ability, and even more so for people with too strong focus (aka nearsighted). But yeah, it's good enough, though the nearsighted users probably cannot be very happy with this low ppi.

People with extreme strong focus, that is those who are very nearsighted, like -8.00 and beyond, can see the red and blue Pentile matrix on Galaxy S4, then try to imagine how pixelated the Z1s display appear to them if they hold it at the closest distance where they can still focus. Even 800ppi could not corner them.

AnonD-184638, 22 Nov 2013thats what steve jobs said about 300 being the retina value... moreRetina for cellphone as defined by Apple is for a viewing distance of 10 inches, which it's quite far unless you are far sighted and in denial of needing reading glasses. I think we all use phones at 10 inch distance quite often but we also use uyyy much closer, maybe more often, and then Retina has inadequate sharpness, individual pixels become visible. This will surely apply to Z1 Mini as well, the sharpness will be very inferior to Xperia Z and Z1, but it's an acceptable tradeoff, the Z1 is simply to big, it should not have been bigger than Xperia Z, by making it longer and wider Sony took a step in the wrong direction and sales are hurting because of it.

This mobile is great, in size and specifications.
A mobile that we can handle and care! Not a brick like Xperia Z1, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, etc... (top mobiles but dificult to use, handle...).
But when Sony will release a mobile like Xperia Z1s with xenon flash ?

however, if you really wanna see a difference, look at an iphone5/5s and any 1080p screen (with almost similar screen colour tuning like lg flagship {not nexus})
the extra sharpness does matter but i fear this phone may outperform xperia z1 because of its screen

water rat, 12 Nov 2013 like a Nokia 720 with droidWith better specs and better camera. The size is perfect though. My 925 is almost too big, while 720 is joy to hold, at least for someone with not too massive hands.
I'm glad to see development in 4,3" sector. 4" is too small, 4,5" is too big, 4,3 is great.

They are much less saturated than AMOLED which means they don't hurt your eyes as bad. Im not saying this is a matter of Sony vs Samsung. Samsung is great all on its own but Sony cannot stand out as the Superior Japanese Electronics and Gadgets Giant if they depend on foreign parts.
