Has anyone looked into all these threads about the camera being unreliable?
I have mine for almost 4 month now. I never know if the picture I'm about to take will save just fine or will crash the phone.
There is no fix, not even an acknowledgement by Sony, just the "have you tried to turn it off and on again".
There is no point I was having one of the beat cameras in its class when it's a gamble if it will save the picture.
I wish you good luck with picking the random one that does not have these problems.

After taking some shots with it, and putting it in the Pocket, That's the last Time I was able to Operate it, The Screen drawed a LINE, in my country NIGERIA,
The screen is $110-$120» Naira #20,000 or #21,000

@Andrew The Xperia Z1 compact unlike the original Xperia Z1 does not half a glass back . It's plastic. And it does get scratched but not just that easily. Using a back cover will be highly advisable.

2.Self cracking??....simply rumors,until u sit on it or throw it
3.Camera is gud but picture quality is not,if u zoom too much u'll see noise.
u can take gud photo on low lighting.
Video recording quality is better than still image.
3d effects are cool feature
4.battery is the only big con i found,sony should hav bundled 3000mAh instead 2300mAh with removable one,but don't worry this phone will last for 1-2 days easily if u use it wisely..if u don't do heavy tasks like gaming,heavy downloading etc..

if u like larger phone with full hd display then z2
if u like compact pocket size phone with hd display then z1c

i belive in sony products ,i purchased sony xperia z1 compact for the first time and i am using it since two months . okey let me tell my review step by step
1) camera : sony is cheating us by saying 20.7 MP camera but camera clarity is equal to 8 MP in samsung (samsung galaxy prime 8MP camera = sony 20.7 MP camera) brightness of pictures is poor in maximum brightness mode so just think off what happens if you decrease the brightness
2) quad core processor: working good (drawback = In MX player it takes 10 to 15 sec to open the 7 min recorded video (hahaha... 2.2GHz processor))i kept my phone in good condition using updated antivirus ,Very good RAM cleaner
3)screen density : gsmarena says 342 ppi(CPU-Z app says its only 320 ppi)i dont know wether cpu-z says correct or wrong and i am not a technician to review ppi density exactly , i am satisfied with the screen density
4)RAM : gsmarena says its 2GB ram(CPU-Z app says its 1703MB RAM and inbuilt storage = 11.79GB) i am not checked the ram capacity and internal storage completely
4) water proof: i am not checked it still
5) battery back up :(non removable battery)i am not satisfied with the battery backup
6)sensors: all sensors are working good
