i have been having a strange issue with the xperia z1 compact as soon as i charge my phone or turn it off completely the changes i made to the home screen are lost, i have done a master reset but still the same issue persists...........any fix for this

If you wanna take indoor pics you'll have to test to see if they'll be better with or without a flash coz the camera has a big sensor which takes in a lot of light that's why ppl love taking pics with it outside at night coz they don't need the flash. Other phones are Samsung S4 mini, Iphone 5s HTC One mini that will take better pics than the Compact indoors but I'd rather have decent pics inside and awesome pics outside and outside the Compact beats the other phones by far.

So you better not be saying 'For taking pics this phone phone is a BIG NO' if you don't have it.

I clearly said, i dont own this phone and i ve shared the opinion based on my walk thro with diff forums..those opinions are of mine. and mind u am no fanboy to any brand..am not a sony hater as well.
For me the camera perf is average in low light & Loudspeaker is average as well. simple.

The camera of this phone is awesome outdoors in the day time and still is awesome outdoors without a flash at night. So taking snaps with the phone is a big yes, you can even take videos or pics underwater. As for the music, I will agree, the loudspeaker is soft only if it is wet, when it is dry the speaker is average. If you listen to music through headspeakers there are a variety of settings that are on by default that you may change manually to get the best out of music which is too long to explain. Your phone came with a manual so read it, if not GSMarena has a pdf of the userguide which has everything about it. Overall this phone is awesome with battery life, performance n all but u just get those Sony haters.

After having gng thro lots n lots of forums and trying the phone myself in outlets. I have got certain facts clear.. If you are a guy who listens to music day in n out or at least most part of d week like me...its a BIG NO..as the loudspeaker..n the sound o/p is average...i dont want to go into the DB levels..n other technicalities..the sound is low..simple.
Battery has got a good review by users who ve spent quite some time..i ve checked dis across forums..Camera is def good...unless u r one of d guys who go abt clicking pics in deep caves..with no lights..
If your key usage is on music & taking snaps..This Phone is a BIG NO...

I am not able to share data using wifi direct.
I am able to connect to other devices but when I share files, it fails.
Is there any settings for this?
Please help... I am stuck on Bluetooth.. :(

I have been using this phone for the last four days alongside iPhone 5S. I have noted the following : daylight photography it's has better camera than 5S but in low light 5s is better. The battery lasts for a day and a half while the 5s cant even last a day. The build quality is great and it's a beautiful device. It doesn't lag. It's a fingerprint magnet

But aI disagree on the 4hours drain of 3000mah. I've been using my z1 for 2 months before switching to z1c, for sure it needs 6 hours of heavy usage (mobile data on all the time while browsing webpages and a few heavy games).
And z1c truly could last more than z1 in terms of battery power.

AnonD-84760, 11 May 2014You have no idea what you talking about, i doubt very much ... moreWhy you say that? I had many Xperia phones with that shatterproof film on the display and its true that they scratches easily, and the back of Z1C is known to be scratch phrone.
Also, he is not the only one who isnt satisfied with the low light performance of the camera, even though its not actually bad, too high expectations maybe?
Finally, low volume, its somewhat true as well, i think its adequate but im not asking anyone to agree with me on that, if they want it louder then they are allowed to say so, no problem.

Azmil, 10 May 2014And z1c with ips display, rather than tft display on z1.Wrong. Both have TFT, all mobile displays are TFT. The difference is the panel type, the Z1 uses a TN panel while Z1C uses IPS.
TN panels are bad mainly because of power consumption, the backlight has two pass through two semitransparent electrodes, that makes it necessary to use a very strong backlight and its very easy to see on Z1 battery life, it can last 4 days if you dont use the display but once you need to look at it it drains out 3000mah is around 4 hours.

Z1 Compact can make a day or two on a single charge, has better display in most ways but unfortunately it has a low pixel density that makes web browsing on desktop version websites somewhat harder, very small text will not be garbled (not as bad as on iPhones though so its not horrible)
