I have a query about Z2. I read somewhere that if there is an issue in the handset, they need to be shipped to Sweden since only Sweden has the technology to seal the handset back with the water and dust proof standards.. Can anyone plz confirm on that? Bcoz thats 1 thing stopping me from buying this phone..

When you will have the chance to hold, then use it, from all angles, its premium baby! Buttons are stainless, its anodized for longevity, and its design is magnifico. All the electronics features are incomparable. Its a money well spent. But you will only appreciate it when you finally bought one. The accessories are also super quality. And the charging dock is designed to double as portable stand. Truly the Japanese understood quality and technology. Thank you China for excellent manufacturing.

It has nothing to do with colour gamut!
It means more bolder than natural colours.
The screen covered with yellowish colour and
it make images and photos over contrast and cartoonish
You are so jealous to Z2
Of course, Z2 IPS display is the best in current market
Z2's rival is only iPhone 6!
And you lacks technological knowledge and are one of Samsung marketer

XCoder9, 12 May 2014I think I'll pass with the Z2, I just got the Z1 last novem... moreAbsolutely understand you reason for staying with Z1, it is an excellent phone but the little differences/improvements on the Z2 make it a no brainer for me personally but it was a close call. I did think of staying with the Z1 and waiting for the Z3 but my resistance crumbled! Enjoy your phone as they are both phenomenal handsets!

@drako Its not that this phone will not support 4g carriers in INDIA,its just that the technology launched in india is not supporting but soon the indian telecom is switching to global standards and so ths will support 4g as network is shifted to global network acceptence level.
Also I need a suggestion from all,I am thinking of buying a new phone in coming days so please help me decide in between iphone 5s and sony xperia z2.

S5 went poor sales and completely a flop model, even Samsung confirmed the same and recently changes were made in their Design team. I don't know? why your acting and reacting like as if you are a CEO of Samsung, when they themself was accepted as a big flop. Try your stuffs in S5's page, because 'Shamesung' is running wisely in heavy marketing rather than quality. Please do help them, as one of a marketers.

[deleted post]This is controlled just the way you control lcd panels by sending instructions to each pixel and it emits light instead of blocking the other color as in lcd screens. So it doesn't require a backlight. The pixels emit their own light. This results in infinite contrast.
Clearly it shows who is smart here. I don't want this conversation with a person who thinks lcd is a better than oled. This is like teaching quantum physics to an animal. No use of it. I won't reply whatever you talk. If you wanna confirm, go to displaymate and see what the screen in s5 is. It's the broghtest, most color accurate, most accurate whites they ever tested. It also has very less brightness shifts at extreme angles and has seriously wide viewing angles. The z2 has a good display but it's not accurate and the display had a very low sunlight legibility. The verge told that the display is practically unusable outside. It stands no chance against s5 in display. That doesn't mean z2 us a worse phone than s5. It had its own advantages like good looking body and 3 gb ram.

A reputed Norwegian website did a camphone shootout between Z2, 1020, M8, S5 and iPhone 5s, testing under various conditions, and they disregarded video recording, features, effects and so on and focused solely on still quality.
Z2 came in second after 1020, Z2 had very good results under all the tested conditions. Iphone 5s on third and S5 came in 4th. The MAIN problem with Galaxy S5 camera is still the same as i experienced too often when i had Note 2, it is almost impossible to get good photos unless conditions are perfect, this is an old problem with Galaxy camera firmware that persists till this day. My Xperia devices always gave me more predictable and reliable results.
S5 has proved once again that Samsung phones are only for those nice days with perfect light conditions. Some months ago when attending some special events in a local church i was using my Xperia Z and the others had various Galaxy phones, and i was the only one of our group with useable photos from that day, the poor Galaxy users had to ask me to bluetooth the photos to them. And im not talking quality differences, the Galaxy photos were just not useable at all, you couldnt even tell people apart, you know you have a camera problem when you cant tell which is your child. This kind of light condition is very common in churches and certain other big indoors environments, theres many light sources and bright light coming through relatively sparse windows, its simply too hard for Samsungs firmware even on flagships but works well on a lower midrange old Xperia.
No doubt Z2 is THE camphone now, when counting in the low shooting speed of the 1020 it becomes unusable in too many situations, therefor Z2 FTW.

I don't think so, because have checked most of the retailers store today in Bangalore. Not yet available for purchase. It takes more 3-4 days to buy, as per store retailers.
