the image stabilisation when video recording is very impressive to me. I do not have particularly steady hands and I can re create a video that looks like it was filmed on a tripod!
Any movements are so smooth, total surprise to me. It however is still a fairly large phone, can be difficult at times with one hand to use it.
And it did hang the other day requiring a system reboot which worried me a bit. But I love the music reproduction with my own headphones and surprised again with the noise cancelling ones in the box. Worked much better than expected. Very happy so far overall.

marko, 06 May 2014I have only one question for z2 users. Is the z2 with plast... morethis one does not have the plastic film for shatter proof, and yet it is a shatter proof and the logo is on the screen.

iv been using the XZL and iv never been so proudly using a phone....simply flawless....until i lost it :(
One question to the XZ2 users is
One prob i encountered wid my XZL was the audio O/P through the earphones
was very very low that in traffic i simply coudnt hear anything
Just wanted to know the diff from the z to z2
has the OP volume increased

Come on GSM we want a review and a s5 m8 shoot out, you have never been this slow ever! Ive been a fan of this web site for over 10 years now and its like you only care about whats going on in America in the past few years then the rest of the world when America and their telco providers never even got mentioned 5 years ago in the mobile scene

Yeah, I'll be upgrading in July.. got a Nokia Lumia 900 at the moment, so I'll be welcoming the Xperia Z2 with open arms.

Am so waiting for swisscom to offer the phone. I will order it the next day. I had the Xperia Z and damaged the display and for now I should get this one for free if I wait for it to be available at Swisscom.

Just recieved it a few days ago. The good things, sounds awesome,especially using the noise cancelling headphones.the phone looks great,the cameras great bt if used in auto mode like most will itl only use 8megpix not 20.the battery life so far seems really good, seems like itl go two days easy enough without needing a charge.the picture is definitely hd, u can really notice the difference. Like the dedicated camera button. Now the bad..... Ive gone from a galaxy s2 for comparisson(which i loved!!) the auto brightness always seems to be set too low,watching films on it isnt as impressive as on the s2,bar the clarity. The viewing angles are no way near as good as the s2 bt are good enough.the speakers are quieter than my s2s,bt much better quality tho.the back button is on the left n my thumb struggles to reach n i have biggish hands(any ideas on how to put it on the right welcome). Overall im happy, wish id had a play with the s5 for comparisson but still would of probs went for this just for a change.n i got 300 pound of a tablet z for pre ordering the phone with o2. Will let u know in a year how ive got on with it :-)

Anonymous, 05 May 2014z3 will be announced by aug 2014....only fool will buy z2 ....And then the z4 will be announced in march 2015,so why buy the z3. That could mean a long time stuck with an old phone cus ur always waiting for that next phone.

Anyway i want 4.5 with Full HD and reasonable bezels, similar size to Z1 Compact. The two main things that made me not buy Z1C was pixel density and the shatterproof plastic film on the display, since i had an Xperia Z, loved it but the film was hard to keep clean, unlike my other phone, BB Z10 with no film and with oleophobic coating, the Z10 display stays clean all by itself like magic AND has a higher PPI than Z1C.
Its a matter of personal preference of course but for me 4.7 is stretching it.

Easily the best phone I have owned to date and I have owned and used them all at various times from iPhones 3G through iP5, S3, S4 (GPE) & S5 (regret buying this one) HTC One (M7)and LG G2. Also loving the M8! Obviously only own the Z2 and M8 at the present time but I have used all the above named phones at some point, the Z2 is the best phone I've used of all of them IMHO.
