AnonD-215376, 01 Apr 2014Plz I want to know that ,HOW??HOW heart beat can be monitor... moreSimple. It can be done with any camera/flash combination using Heart rate pro app in play store.
You cover camera and flash with one finger. Camera records color changes that rhytmically occur due to blood reaching your fingertips. And application simple counts it and converts to BPM.
So if you ask me, DEDICATED camera and flash JUST for heart rate measurements - useless.

AnonD-215376, 01 Apr 2014Plz I want to know that ,HOW??HOW heart beat can be monitor... moreA pressure sensor is my best hunch. Your heartbeat presumes that your heart is pumping blood through your body; even in your fingertips you have blood vessels that widen and tighten as blood circulates (or is that the arteries?).
Anyways! TL DR: in your finger there's a reaaaaaly small pulse that a very fine pressure sensor can feel -> heartrate.

The only think I would say about the handset is that it's huge, so huge infact that it's much bigger than the S4 and S5.
That's the only downside I have for the Z2 but I do like it's looks and fact that it's waterproof Mmmmm I don't know it's either the HTC M8 or the Z2

mr.advice ,as i have said before that sudden death cases are very very rare....
according to reports its around 1:200,000.
wikipedia:
sudden death occurs in approximately 1 in 200,000 athletes annually. The victim is usually male and, in the US, two-thirds occurs in football and basketball. This reflects the popularity of these sports and the number of athletes involved in them and elsewhere in the world, soccer is most commonly associated. From statistics derived from NCAA data, one death per 25,000 collegiate athletes over a five-year period was attributable to medical causes.

i can see some trollers here jealous of Sony devices (especially Z2) .....BTW! trollers have to admit that Sony devices are gaining lots attraction from people everywhere...while One year ago, it was either apple or Samsung phones.but now people are moving towards Sony. Main reason is they don't want to follow the crowd with another plastic samsung n they didn't want apple again cos of the closed system. Now, everyone want to be a proud owner of Sony.and I think it's this sort of inertia that will lead to more sales. Word of mouth is what got samsung n apple to where they r now n word of mouth will get Sony back in the game.

[deleted post]i think you are answering another post because i didn't say any of this.
the subject i was talking about is whether the heart rate monitor is a good or a bad thing to have in a mobile phone, and in my opinion it is a good thing,if you disagree with me it is ok ,but u don't need to attack me and make it something personal.
