Pretty much the same design as previous Z's but the specs are pretty good. Also heard that the UI feels buttery smooth. Seems like it would be a great birthday present. B-)

it has 801 chipset( faster MHz,cache,bus),
it has stereo sound,
has 4K recording( which I personally don't give a shit about but...),
has bigger and better display (surpasses S5 display),
is lighter,
In many's opinion has better UI than Samsung...
That should be enough...
But really, the stereo alone does it for me ;)

Buddy wid 27K dont go for ne phone in xperia Z series, because key feature in smartphones WI_FI Direct is useles in all these phones and is very disappointing.. the subtitutes are useless as well...
do proper research and then buy
ive got ZL though being Xperia Fan i feel like m stuck wid d phone :(

james, 26 Feb 2014the Z2 looks exactly like Z1 but bigger , the S5 looks exac... moreI think the reason why people complain more about the S 5 and not the Xperia Z2 has something to do with the design and materials used to manufacture it. The S 5 itself is quite a great phone but I must say I was expecting it to be a little more spectacular. On one hand, you have a plastic Galaxy S 5 and on the other hand is the Xperia Z2 made of glass and aluminum. How practical is it is not the question here, it's about the quality of those materials.
It could also be that the design of the Galaxy S 5 haven't evolved that much since the S III but the design of the Xperia Z2 was only introduced last year with the Xperia Z. Maybe it is also to do with the fact that Samsung releases every phones with similar design for about two years and this design can be found from budget phones to high-end flagships so people are getting tired of it.
Anyway, the Xperia Z2 has great specs! Can't wait to read the review on it.

And when you talk about bezels, you have to know that in order to achieve high ip ratings in this slim body they have to increase size. Just look at S5 for Ip rating it had to increase the bezels too

So confused what shell i buy Note 2 or Grand 2 Or Sony ZL. all of them in appox. in same price and config. and i also want to get 4.4 update or may be further. also a good battery backup and i used to surf the net alot and thus having a Good Gpu and Good processor ( sd 400 or +) and more then 1Gigs of ram and 5" or more Disply and would be better for video plyback and Gaming. and also let me know if any better models you have in mind. Thanks In Advance

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2014it still don't have usb 3 and not complete dust protection.... moredont mind the specs listed here, all newer Sony high end phones and even the year old Xperia Z supports 128GB microSD card, or "64GB and above" as was written in the update that brought it to the Z. I have a screenshot somewhere to prove it.

i love Sony ..
Sony Z2 is the answer of my doubt for poor screen and angle view.
now i have no reason to wait ... i will change my iphone 5s for this beautiful.
