That any phone with a back camera and flash can do. Debit card? A huge copying of Apple pay. Finger print scanner? A gimmick. But, a low end phone has a microSD card slot, which your beloved s6 doesn't have. Remote control? No thanks, I'll stick to my TV's remote control.

There are tons of midrangers with IR port, but most people find FM radio a more useable tech feature on a phone....
Paying option is available on any NFC capable phone via Google Wallet or dozen of other apps, fingerprint scanner is just tech to improve security, every lowend or midrange phone has at least 3 security options including pin, pattern and face recognition...
So.....S6 has an extra function over lowend and midrange phones to monitor your heart rate, and give you one extra security option to work on some apps, hardly a substitution for no SD card expandability, no fm radio practicality, no stereo sound, or no waterproofing and underwater photo shooting capability....
And it costs a fortune for that extra options, one called a gimmick, other just an addon security option..
On the other hand you cannot find waterprooofing and underwater photo shooting capability, nor stereospeakers on a phone, on any lowend or midrange phones other than xperias and stereo on a couple of htcs
Much smarter and practical tech features than a heart rate monitor or IR blaster

I have been using Sony phones for over half a decade now. I must say the build quali Sony Ericsson and now Sony provides is unmatched. I used to take photos in mild rain using my Xperia Ray and it didn't even bother me at all. I dropped my Xperia S from a staircase and it went bouncing all the way down , but it escaped wit just few minor scratches. But I saw my friends Galaxy S4 drop from his pants pocket and shattered it's display. This is some daily life moments anyone can face. Manufacturers should make a phone that's ready to take on at least couple of 4 feet falls. And Sony does it well. What good is a curved display phone if it can't handle a single fall? Z4 may not have a heart rate monitor but am sure you certainly won't have a heart attack if you drop it or miss handle it.

I als... moreThe Sony Waterproofing rating is only good for FRESH WATER. And only provided that all ports and covers are firmly closed and sealed.
If you forget to close these these ports and covers before submersing, the phone will fail and be permanently damaged as Sony will NOT warranty it.
Most swimming pools are chlorine or salt-water based and NOT FRESH WATER. So,do NOT for use in swimming pools.
The Sony small print clearly says that the phones should NOT be used in any swimming pools or the sea/beach. These phones ARE failing when used in chlorinated and salt water.
Sony is NOT replacing all of the phones which are damaged due to water.

Sony is also try to apply fingerprint scanner, they cant. Sony will adds fingerprint scanner only if google or qualcomm provide the softwarw. Their technology is far behind bcz their CEO cut RD cost.

I als... moreAs i said before, Z4 does basic function of mobile phone, make a call, texting, music, play video, gaming, web browsing. Thats it. Even low end phones can do it all. Z4 only does it better. Low end phones play music good z4 does it excellent. The difference btween sony low end phone n Sony high end phones is only specs. Samsung added more function to their high end phone. Remote TV, replacing debit card, monitors heartrate, read your fingrrprint. So its not only about specs.

and u know what-that s6 has a poor camera-as they don't sell it with a sony sensor. they sent it for reviews with sony sensor but sell it with shit isocell of samsung.good luck with ur third class camera

I mean function. its okay.. let get it more simple. You mention Z4 can take picture, provide sound, charging, has A RAM, has a screen, playing game. Its only basic function.
Low end phone can do it all. Z4 only do it way better..
