The differences in quality between this phone and other brands on the market are visible from the first glance. I wouldn't trade this phone for anything else, even if I had to pay a third of the price. It is definitely (and I know what I'm saying here) the best phone on the market right now.

I got my T-Mobile Z3 on Monday (pre-ordered). Previously, I had a Samsung Galaxy S III. Never had any issues with it. The Z3 is a nicely designed phone. The camera takes great pics. The installed software is relatively free of manufacturer clutter (unlike Samsung which has all kinds of crap you can't remove). The battery is amazing, easily able to last 2 days. On the negative side, the phone seems quite heavy even though it is not much different than other phones. Also, the square edges are somewhat annoying.
Unfortunately, I had many issues. I had a problem where I could not make phone calls (happened twice in 3 days). Power cycling seemed to fix this, Then, on the 3rd day I had the phone, I got the gray screen of death. Basically, I could see that some backlighting of the screen was occurring, but could not see anything on the screen. I tried hard resets to no avail. After researching this issue, it seems that this is a known issue for previous Xperia phones (without a known solution).
I decided to return the phone and will go with either an iPhone 6 or one of Samsung's newer phones. I just don't trust a Sony phone after this experience.

Oh my ive read in a Sony Support. Forum..
A few unlucky buyers had defective units with the following issues below, Ill do my own quality check before I buy mine.
1. Failed Water Proofing - I will have my unit tested in the store if permitted
2. Pink spot in pictures - No idea yet if this is software or hardware related
3. Battery issues - I will test this as soon as i buy a Z3 by fully charging it then see how it goes. Then another test - simulate the one that they publsh in the sony z3 official website
One reason why people choose Sony is the quality assurance
I guess with the rapid change of technology and demand for quicker manufacturing
Quality is being sacrificed as a few defective units leak out..thats the risk consumers have to take as this applies to almost any brand.

It charges much faster on airplane mode, with its original charger, and on quality electricity source
I noticed difference charging at my home and my work, airplane mode on or off, old charger instead original phone charger
My 2400 battery charges at best in 1 hour....up to worst 3 hours using old charger at work and no airplane mode on

Where do i find forums about the Xperia Z3, especially about user experience, bugs encountered?
Ive been reading a lot of good feedbacks here...Now I want to see the negative points of the phone..
This will help me decide if I should buy the Z3 or maybe wait for the Z4( If my dying phone survives until Z4 is released) :)

Dude, what memory card are you using? You need to have a class 10 or above memory card for this to work.

Really dont know what is the issue causing it, but it is not the update obviously as most z1c 4.4.4 users dont have it
Last resort:
First remove your SD card, then Reinstall kitkat only through Sony companion PC app, afterwards factory restart
do get a new class 10 SD card, I use transcend 32 gb class 10, its quite a quality cheap one costing only $15...
Use it blank, and do not reinstall any third party camera apps, uninstall all additional preinstalled camera modes in camera app such as AR effect, Vine etc ....
See if that helps...

darkraver, 01 Nov 2014Furthermore, there may be a conflicting data on your Sd car... moreThanks for your guidance, I really had consider the things you said, I set camera to save on internal momory instead of sd card I even removed my sd card restarted my phone but after nearly 24 hours camera software crashs alerting camera not available and needs the whole phone to restart to be able to take photos for another 24 hours. My android is now 4.4.4 there was two 4.4.4 updates available for me and I did two updates one after another. I hoped the problem would be solved after the last update but it wouldn't . I dont know why they don't update the whole camera software once?
But except this issue I totally satisfied with my phone. Fast,light, agile responsible great battery, no hang except its camera software.
Hope sony will solve this too soon.

Remove your Sd card, try the app again
Format your Sd card try again
Get a new class 10 Sd card wnd try again

I really dont know about your problem, as I own an exactly same smartphone and dont experience such a problem with camera app...
Mine is still at 4.3, as I learned the hard way not to ever update a phone if everything is running ok, because updates tend to get you lot of bugs ( which is NOT Sony specific, but all company specific)
So which android are you now on?
Does your app save pictures to Sd card? Maybe your Sd card is faulty then...
As for accusing you not being a z1c owner, dont remember I did, but fact is much of trolls here pretend they own an xperia while actually they dont but use the rant to troll
That anonymous you thanked is a specific type of one, which in all the discussions didnt use ONE proof for his claims, just likes to claim cra.p, bashing the product which he does not own, and has a personal frustration against me....dont really know what is his problem
That other anonnymous that claimed you are a false owner has a bit of a tendency to noncriticaly overhype...who knows, maybe on purpose too...

Z3 has excellent volume rocker, which is strong enough to protect accident press on it!
Power button is very nice with fantastic circular design!
