Other than iPad 3 to iPad 4 there has always been significant updates and important additions on both iphones and ipads. 3GS to 4 was huge, 4 to 4s was massive, 4s to 5 was no small thing internally and also brought very big changes in exterior, 5 to 5s was just awesome and mindblowing, the world got shocked over the new 64bit chipset and the TouchID, it was the biggest thing in the entire year of 2013. I was never a big fan of Apple but the 5s blew my mind and commanded great respect.
And still i didnt even mention the updates iOS has gotten with each new phone, iOS 6 to 7 dwarfs most updates with quite a margin.

Specs are misleading, there is no option for 32GB storage, only the D6616 has 32GB (and no 16GB option). I guess D6616 is a carrier specific model for USA.
Too bad anyway, 32 should have been the standard and no 16GB model should be offered, lots of people need more than 16 and dont like to mess with uSD cards.

Fingerprint scanner is great when it works, like Apples TouchID, but its a useless gimmick when it doesnt, like HTC and Samsung, epic failures. I hope Sony will have it also when they find something thats good enough, ie TOUCH and not swipe. TouchID is so good that even a sworn Samsung fan i know wanted to get the ifone 5s, if Sony can make it half as good it would be a success.

Hahaha?.. Sony is still an independent maker. Please dont incorporate fingerprint scanner for the sake of joining the bandwagon. Someone tried to hack iCloud. Those delicate fingerprints of yours is now readily available to hackers (ahem.. Apple and samsung) remedy? Just dont use that feature.

True, the design us now even better. More clean and elegant. I mean, the note 4 is quite powerful, but it lacks the design of a true flagship.

I'm a bit sad though because i own a 2 months old Z2, knowing that it no longer is the top Sony geezer... But heck! All i'm waiting for is Z2 vs Z3 !

Noooo, just bought a Z2 couple of weeks back & was pretty excited about having the latest flagship from Sony now they released Z3, atleast they should have waited for a couple of months more, ha ha ha.. Just kidding by the way Z2 is awesome but is no more the latest offering from Sony after the arrival of this wicked Z3 :-(

Step 1. Make hardly noticeable improvements to device
Step 2. Release slightly improved model as new product at higher price
Step 3. Profit

But it still behind exynos 5433 and k1. This year's flagships don't get a noteble difference in performance. It's better to get a 2013 flagship or wait another year. I think the only phone which will get a major performance boost is iphone 6. Best of luck...

I can live without that QHD display, but Sony should have used the newer SoC 805 :(
