AnonD-236164, 10 Dec 2016It takes arround 2 mins to start feeling the heat and about... more100% agree with you bro I Don't use 4K .... 1080p is more enough even 720p is also not that bad .... the real thing that bothers me is.... does it also heatup and force close while recording 1080p in 60fps (as I just use it for filming fast moving objects like train, plane, cars agricultural machinery e.t.c other than that I use only 30 fps for recording in normal codition).....

It takes arround 2 mins to start feeling the heat and about 4 mins to feel that its very usefull for winter time....but i suggest u ... if u dont use a uhd screen to watch ur videos its useless to record in this resolution because u will not be able to see the difference. So recording in hd resolution its just fine. I believe that all these are just marketing tricks if u dont have the right equipment to watch what u r recording.

It's the D6633 mode... moreYes,its easy to damage the screen in every way since it doesnt have gorrila glass; i do protect my z3- im using it only in my hause,loool,i think that even wearing in the pocket could be a risky for screen,so keep your protection on.

Hello, I bought this phone a while ago. It's the D6633 model. When I took it out of the box, it had a plastic wrap on both of it's sides and beneath it was a 'laminated screen protection film' already applied to the screen. There was a note telling me that it's recommended to keep this cover on the screen. So, I kept it. The problem is, it gets dirty all the time and without the oleophobic coating, all the finger prints and smears are very visible. This is very annoying when I am watching a video and the screen is just full of finger prints. My question is, is the phone's screen easily scratched? I see that the phone doesnt have girilla glass but it does have a 'scratch resistant screen'. How durable is it compared to gorilla glass. My previous phone had gorilla glass and it didn't have a single scratch even after using it for 3 years. If the screen on the Sony Xperia Z3 is similar, then I will remove the screen protector from it as it's very annoying. Help from someone who's used the phone without the protector is appriciated.

And I use it sometimes. ... morei had the same problem;it could be memory leak issue that often appears on androids after the updates;i did everything,like wipe cash,factory reset,repair via sony pc companion,etc,but nothing helped me,and the only way to solve that issue is to wait for patch,or some other kind of update to fix it;but i ve waited for 5 months,didnt get that fix-update,so i went to service and they told its du to a virus! So they instaled a fabric softwer,its a little be different(got 2 new apps i never had on any sony device,like third browser,not google or chrome,and an app called internal sony market,well,it looks to me like this is z3 for USA market);anyway,the problem with memory leak issue is gone now.(i hope it wont come back)

I am using this phone for almost a month now . Even at the beginning i was not sure about its performance (and Sony was never been among my choices) while its a 2014 model finally i was just surprised . Very smooth (much smoother than samsung ), good battery life (1-2 days depending on use but with data and wi-fi on nonstop), nice screen , the voice is ok , rear camera is 20 mp only in manual mode... if u use auto its just 8 mp, front camera its just acceptable in selfies ... good when u have it on video chat. Marshmallow update make it run smoother , i didn't notice any big difference in battery performance , and my stamina choice haven't been lost as some users said before. Management of RAM is very good (better than samsung). Heat issues i faced only when i drove the device to its edges with video recording and playing demanding games (but for me its natural even devices of 2016 are heating up under these situations... for me the reason is not on SoC but on GPU) For someone who has a budget of 200- 250 euros and wants to have a brand name phone its the best choice can have. Maybe Sony Z3 will not have Nougat Android but i always say that the most important is the device to run smoothly no matter what the version of Android is . Even u buy it now u can have a device which will be "decent" for the next 2 years... ( note: samsung note 3 is now sold officially fefubrished by samsung and it uses android 5.0) . The only i could suggest to Sony is to give an update so we can change the position of management buttons :D ( i am used to have back button on the right and it has it on the left )

Hi Z3 users. I have D6603 version. And I use it sometimes. I don't used it two days and in memory app I saw that ram usage is high around 2.2GB. After shutting down and turning on it reduced to normal 1.0GB. And it is second time I faced that issue.
Any suggestions? Is that normal or should I factory reset my phone?

Cracking handset, battery time is as good as it is on paper. Smooth performance and day to day use. Probably going to get 4-5 years easily out of it.
