I currently own a LG G2 which is a beast of a phone. I just wanted something with a little bit more ram, stereo speakers, and water resistant. This fits the bill perfectly. I tried a LG G4 but had to return it. It gets hot, battery dies fast, and doesn't connect to networks very well. There are a few things I avoid in phones now and they are: screens over hd, processors over the 800/801 series, led screens, and the extreme fast charging. All these things contribute to phones not being as reliable, and the battery going quickly. It amazes me that this phone has one of the highest clocks of any android phone and the battery is very good. You can pick these up brand new will waranty still for under 300 and it is rumored to get android 7.0... As far as I'm concerned only other phone I'm considering is the One Plus 3, put not liking the led screen, I keep my gps and pokemon go on all the time and don't want burn in.

I recently bought an Xperia Z3 D6616 (unlocked T-Mobile variant) on eBay. It came in from Hong Kong and took forever, but still earlier than the seller predicted. At first I could not get the phone to work. I put my sim card in and it would not pick up any signal. I put my wife's Simple Mobile sim card in and it worked without problem. It turns out that the phone was fine and the problem was my Metro PCS sim. I found out that Metro locks the sim card to your phone's IMEI number and unless you call them or visit one of the stores to have this done, you can't just swap a sim into any phone you like. For those who need to do this, your IMEI number is located by going into Settings – System – About Phone – Status. Scroll down and you should see IMEI listed on the screen. After having done that I started to enjoy full Z3 joy and bliss. Until six days later, while washing my car, it slid four inches from my pocket, hit the asphalt below and cracked the screen! Word to the wise: CASE. These phones have screens that are made from the thinnest, brittlest glass I have ever seen. My wife is on her second Z3 because the first one went through three screens before giving up the ghost after the last fall. She now has one of those Love MEI cases to protect it and her problems are now solved since she has dropped it a few times and all is still well. My Z3 is currently being repaired and I just received my Love MEI case in the mail. I can't wait to get it back, though. The Z3 is an amazing little machine for a very reasonable price (I paid $240 brand new and shipped for mine, while my wife got her latest one brand new and shipped for $200 flat). As long as Sony continues to make the Xperia line I'll be willing to buy them. My previous phone was a Sony Xperia Mini and it still works fine although it's tiny and no longer has the internal memory to support the apps I want to use.
For anybody considering a Z3, go for it!

so now I am considering Z3 (D6603),Xperia X and X Compact..... may be I woul go for X series but can't make decission X or X compact...... :)

I also wanted to buy D6616 version just for 32GB storage but I'm very happy that I've bought D6603 version. Now my Z3 works very smooth with marshmallow. It has 16GB storage but I expanded it with 128GB SD card. Wow I can store as many files as I want.:) And everything works superb. If you want to buy newer phone wait few months and buy XZ that beats all phones including S7, LG G5, HTC 10 with 4GB ram, OnePlus 3 with 6GB ram, its speed is almost equal to iphone 7...

Anonymous, 15 Nov 2016Because it is T-MOBILE version which also includes too much... moreSame mistake I have done earlier that I bought Sony Xperia Z3 D6616 (T-Mobile).... and I am regretting it too much I got tempted because of 32GB internal as Compared to 16GB Global version (D6603)..... the worst mistake I have done..... :(
But Thanks God I realized it very earlier and Return it to Shopkeeper after 2 days (as I bought it on Saturday and there is Holiday in Market on Sunday and I returned it on Monday).... and he deducted 25% from the actual price of phone.
The reason behind my return is
(1) Its T-mobile variant and I have Searched that it will not get MARSHMALLOW and LOLLIPOP is not as stable as Marshmallow as it makes phone heat up quickly (at least in my case)
(2) Its Boot loader was Unlocked (the real issue behind Unlocked Boot loader is, the DRM keys will be lost forever.... Which degrades Camera Quality because SONY BIONZ engine for camera does not works without DRM keys and other sony enhancements like Super vivid mode,e.t.c does not works)
(3) there no or less Developer Support to D6616 so I can not Flash Custom roms Based on latest Android version.
The two bad experience with Xperia Z3 is due to T-mobile and the reasons I have mentioned above.If any one wants to buy this phone or any other phone I would Advice do not buy any Carrier variant,just buy Global or Factory unlocked variant (In case of Z3 Just buy D6603 Model).... It may costs you more and may have less specs i.e.Internal memory than that of carrier variant but your are Free from everything (Bloatware, have better Developer support, you can get more updates and directly from company at least in case of SONY)....
It is Good Phone I really Loved it and still willing to have one but I am also considering its younger brothers Xperia X and X compact.... :)
