Great phone,
very questionable durability.
cracked after 5 days.that was the end of awesomeness.

      not all people are liars,not all pople are haters.
      a week ago i bought z3 compact fro abu dhabi,
      I was really impressed with the phone, every thing was very impressive,4 days down the road i have extensive cracks all over my front screen,even worse not responding to touch.apparently replacing the screen is going to cost me 334 dollars.
      i did love sony,but am dissapointed.
      its glass isnt close to shatter proof.

        I've been using this phone for a couple of weeks.
        It's a great phone and we've all heard the pros, that's why I bought it and i don't regret it, but when it comes to my personal experience, there are a few cons.
        1. compared to my old galaxy s3, daylight vision is not so great even with 100% brightness
        2. If you like listening to music with your phone speakers, it sounds awful due to the waterproofing.
        3. I never used a phone with on-screen menu buttons before and i don't really like it, the screen is 4.6" but in most apps the menu is not hidden so most of the time it's like i am using a 4.3" screen or something like that.
        It also bothers me when i am texting, sometimes instead of touching the text input or space button at the bottom, i touch the home button which minimizes the app.

          OMG lots of haters here spreading absolute BS about this phone, u guys should be ashamed of urself, for anyone who might have any doubts at all about either getting this phone or not i tell u what, i have this phone since launch and believe me this is the best phone ever, screen sharpness is exactly like a 1080p phone with a 5in screen size or bigger, camera is one of the bests if not the best, audio quality and loudness is much better than Z2 and more than enough, battery life is phenomenal, and man is this a sexy phone! dont wait, dont hesitate and most importantly dont listen to all of these haters and liers, just go ahead and buy this beauty of a beast.

            Guys, some people are looking for 4.7" FHD for Z4C. This will be a disappointment since it will consume more power and Sony will tend to increase the battery by increasing the dimension. So they will see this screen increase as a success formula which is Zn Compact= (4.7+n)" n is an inch/yr increase. And this applies to all other models... Sony don't even think about this just keep the 4.6 to 4.7" MAXIMUM screen size and 720p. Anyway, you always have the flagship Z4 where you can play with but not on the Z4C.

              Mine is doing fine not had any problems .Using a fast class 10 Samsung micro sd card.Dont know what else to say its just a decent phone with better battery life than other Androids.Love shutter button and long 4k video recording.

                I brought a sony xperia z3 at lulu in Doha Qatar. A week later the phone just stopped working, apparently a resetting problem. I was directed to approach the salwa road service centre. They agreed to replace the phone, but I suspect it was only a refurbished phone as it was only packed in an unsealed polythene cover. I thrust the phone in my jeans front pocket and drove 40 kns. When I took it out its glass screen was shattered.
                Please advice.Is paid replacement the only option ,my point is that the screen self destructed and hence substandard.
                Sony wake up and don't loose our trust

                  By far, the best android phone I've ever used.

                  Buy it from legitimate store, and you will have no problem.

                  I've used it for 2 month an not a single flaw is present.

                  Use your phone with care.

                    And for the ones winning about the system icons what's so hard about giving it a little customization treatment as I have done as below?

The lower pixel screens help ovetall performance and extended battery life - the same reason I bought this beauty even though I have the galaxy s4 with poor battery life and stuttety performance that I really hate (my older note 2 with 720p is way smoother than the s4). I have the z3c in both black and white and love them both. Performance is top notch with an excellent UI that is buttery smooth way better than the touchwiz - so is true about the battery life. It was the flagship when it was released along with the z3 and there are no problems with the SoC. I dont know whats your point about the bloatware but most of it can be uninstalled e.g. wisepilot, trackid. Please stop misleading people on this unique combination of beauty, power and perfect-screen-size smartphone - a true iPhone killer IMO! The feel of this phone is so awesome that you cant resist unlocking and playing with it every few minutes.

                            I've been using my Z3 compact for a month and I am not encountering any problems like what other people's saying in the posts with this site. All I can say maybe what they have got is a class A or B phones...not the original ones. That's why I am loosing my trust to this site for maybe there is a biased to some brands. Or maybe they are insecure to this monster phone. That's why to those who are trying to buy this phone, just go ahead. They are just trying to destroy the image of this best phone. Believe me, this phone is perfect 👌!

Now I started to... moreFlop of the year 2014, a downgraded Z1 Compact (z3c has lower pixel density + very inaccurate cold colors compare to Z1c and the metal frame is now plastic). A midranger with high end SoC and its no longer the highest anyway, not even the highest current Qualcomm SoC, all this at a price higher than some real flagship phones. Also its alarming that now when even Samsung has seriously reduced bloat this year has seen a scary growth of Xperia bloat. Also in the same year Samsung went from having bad color reproduction to having very acceptable accuracy while Sony went from acceptable to ridiculous, definite proofs that Sony is evolving backwards and their phones are suitable only for Benjamin Button. Check Z3 review at PA for details about Sonys current colors, its so jawdroppingly bad that it isnt even funny, and Sony did it on purpose.

                              Try to stay with your current phone till a real compact high end phone hits the market.

                                So I've read so many articles and reviews. Now I started to think that Sony z3c has a lot of problem like : screen is not good enough, lots of issues, pink spot on the camera, and often gets replaced for a new one. Is Sony z3c even worth buying? Because from the specs I will buy this phone. But again with all the problems some users experience, I scared to buy it.

                                    Tried the phone in Mall, sound of speakers quite tiny and low volume despite 2 speakers...
                                    How come my 40 dollars Chinese phone bought in the Philippines has much louder and better speaker sound that most highspecs phones...Should not be that difficult for Sony or Samsung to spend a few dollars in better speakers !
