the same glass as the front ( Dragontrail or GG3)
to reduce cracking and scratching on back glass
but who knows.
Seems like Production Runs are relatively small for USA so far,

amazing z3 compact,best smartphone i had ever...battery life is about 2 days , using it heavily.very fast,compatible with lte ,i love this sony

AnonD-209094, 08 Nov 2014By the way, your internal storage, its easy to think of a 1... moreWell here in UK two main suppliers will not get more stock till Nov 11th,,this is third time this has happened..Either Sony underestimated how popular device would be or its selling out fast,,know its the latter..
Also our Carphone Warehouse only gets a few in and they go on contract..Seems Z3C is in short supply in allocated countries never mind opening up to even more countries.

Still not a lot i agree but its getting closer. Lets hope for Z4 Compact having 32GB and 1080p, plus being less fragile. Looks like Sony is delaying launch in some markets, still not available here, but why??? The auto-crack "feature" may be the reason.

Happened to me,other than that its a good phone. Just dont believe the waterproof bs, Cuz when (not if) it cracks it won't be that waterproof

Sony just isnt any good with software, you only have to look at the PS4 and compare it with the ancient Xbox 360 to see how primitive solutions Sony are using, low-tech workarounds that were barely forgivable in PS3 are still present in PS4 and its an outrage, they didnt do anything to rectify the bad situation, while MS made big improvements to already superior software tech, ie Kinect.
This is just how Sony choose to roll, its their mentality, they are not willing to go out in the market to buy tech they need or to hire expensive devs with special knowledge, they just keep their old crap and hope it slides under the radar.

Got the Z3 Compact a couple of weeks ago and I am very impressed with this phone. Its my first Sony handset and 1st Andriod so it was a bit of change for me after nearly 20 years on various Nokia & Blackberry units. I really cannot fault it in any way and the real standout features for me are the over functionality and especially the battery life, camera and music/sound capabilities. Its very fast on all applications and everything you could wish from a mobile phone. Highly recommend this phone for a business professional who is on the move and requires a device which ticks all of the boxes that need to be ticked!

[deleted post]Don't go for xperia sp as it'll not receive any more android update and u have to stick with jelly bean 4.3
But m2 already received 4.4.4 kitkat and may have chance to get 5.0 too..

i was at a sony store yesterday and i saw a dummy of the orange version of this phone (somewhat red somewhat orange). it's a beauty, only if it is also orange on the front panel.
anyway, can we transfer apps to sd card with this? i was really disappointed that my xperia sp won't transfer my fb, games, etc to my sd card... and the phone keeps telling me that my internal storage is almost full (the phone is barely a year old).. annoying, isn't it?
also, i would like to know:
don't sony read the reviews here at gsmarena? ever since the first Z, the review was not good with regards to shooting in panorama... wouldn't sony do something about it???
