natsu, 12 Oct 2014guys. pls check this out. if you agree with this the bette... moreThe white balance of Sony is too much off, very cold, one will have to always edit the photos after shooting, had that same problem on a BlackBerry and it was living hell to always have to edit the white balance on every single photo. Hopefully it will be improved in future updates.

The low contrast is a concern too but not so critical.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2014Z3 Compact recording live music: http://youtu.be/p2GOaQlt5f8Wow that was terrible. But at least not garbled like with Z1 and Z2, in a test done by a Scandinavian cellphone review site the Z2 came out last of all the tested phones. iPhone is really the only way to go for recordings like this but Galaxy S5 did surprisingly well in that test, if you can handle a crippled region locked phone that is but still Sony is definitely NOT the way go here.

darkraver, 12 Oct 2014Ahahah...so much bull :-) Z1c was and still is one of bes... moreZ1 was the worst ever, insanely ugly, horrible battery life (3 to 4 hours of realistic usage, even light tasks like texting) and so many manufacturing defects. Z1 has done a lot of damage on Sony Mobiles reputation, especially in Scandinavia where it sold well initially, lots of the buyers who got fooled are saying they never buy Xperia again. Z was in fact a much better phone even if it had very poor build quality (very weak frame and back panel coming loose by itself, had both problems on my own Z) and somewhat similar bad battery life.

        Facts not fanboyism.

Has anyone recorded video at a concert or in a nightclub to see if it can handle bass ..All my Samsungs I've had just sound like a garbled mess,iPhone does perfect so does my Nokia N8 but need Android again.

Definately into the smaller smartphone and i am not alone.Except for my iPhone 5s this is the only potent phone sized smartphone available. Can get it from £349 in UK sim free at Clove but looking to see if can get it cheaper,,Amazon want nearly £380.

Who knows how it will stand up in 5 years' time? It's only just released.
But it's at least a step-change improvement from my previous Xperia P

AnonD-198461, 10 Oct 2014oh please... tell me what kind of bloatware you are talking... moreOh please say you are joking? Im obviously talking mainly about the dreaded Whats New app that hijacks your Home button and cannot be disabled since 4.4.4. without using unauthorized USB hacks that voids the warranty. Im just not interested in having that crap pop up on me, im not gonna buy a PS4 or anything else PS until i see some real games for it, they dont need to annoy people with those ads, the price for selling one more PS accessory end up being selling many fewer phones. As long as the bootloader cannot be unlocked without bricking core functionality (like software updates) and voiding warranty these apps MUST be possible to disable or at least remove from the Home button.

I really cannot se Xperia phones ever becoming mainstream the way Sony is doing things now, they killed Vaio and had to spin off their TV division due to weird product designs and they are doing the same to their mobile division.
