I am still using my iPhone 4 and was considering upgrading to the 6. One of the apps I used to use on the iPhone was ' CycleMeter ", The size of the screen on the Z3C and most importantly the fact that it is waterproof is tempting me. Does anyone have any real world experience of the sort of battery life that I might expect with the GPS running continuously ?

I am a fan of Nokia Lumia but they still lag behind.
- WinOS runs just fine at 1gb.
- PPI - most websites are made at 72 dpi, 150 ppi density is more than adequate for that. 830 has 294 right amount for the screen size but this will come at expense of battery life.. same with Z3c. Just depends if you watch movies on your phone.
What it comes down to is - is taking good snaps more important than some of apps you use on casual basis if they aren't available on Windows Phone OS. If it is, then 830 will take better snaps than Z3C. If you're heavily invested in Android and prefer options, then you can accept a slightly lesser quality of pic and still have overall package.

And then openly you admit everything is worse, but it is meaningless? iPhone is introducing users to year 2012 while Z3 is bringing closer 2015. 3 years technology gap... I’d focus on main areas where iPhone was never even close to Z1 Compact or Z3 Compact. Size and robustness (you can throw it in to the wall and it survives unlike iPhone). Much better sound with great sound processing functionality. Fantastic quality photos one is not ashamed to publish on Facebook (unlike iPhone camera where instantly one can see who is using what phone due to poor quality of iPhone photos...) oh… and wait a true water resistance housing. Just admit you are religiously fanatic about iPhone. Even though its overpriced, historical technology... Ulnles you like archaeology. Yes, in this case iPhone 6 is good. You can excavate 8MPix camera or 1GB RAM memory to run applications…

The metal in the Alpha is attractive, but the Z3C gets only praise for its construction and in-hand feel.
