Bought mid 2015, still my dailydriver in 2021. Over 5 years old and still working nicely. 1 front screen replaced. Super happy with Sony Z3 compact. Thanks

LeemHan, 02 Jan 2021Wht do you expect from old device?i bought it brand new in 2015 and the lower part of the touchscreen failed within a year, i fixed it and then a few months later it broke again. the cycle continued until the 5th repair.

very unreliable device. touchscreen kept failing and broken light sensor caused the screen to go black everytime i would receive or make a call. no more sony phones from here on out.

worst experience ever i used to be a huge fan of Sony I still am but my experience with z3 is the worst battery yuck and i dropped my phone from maybe an inch and the back glass cracked wanted to replace it but no luck there were no spare parts

Work's like first day even no updates now. It's running android 6. No LCD issues no typin issues no wifi no camera no sound and the most important no screen burn.

30.10.2020 and still a king. Anyy issue. Any at all. Battery life perfect. Charging perfect.

It didn't have any sensitivity issues while typing fast but it was a bit dim and yellow. About 6 months later same thing happened to that screen aswell. So I wouldn't recommend paying for it. Also there is a crappy version of replacement displays which has thicker bezels and much worse quality. Never ever get it, it's touch responsiveness is as bad as the phones before iphone 2g. You literally can't type on it. By the way even if you replace the screen with frame it will still have backlight bleeding problem from sides.

same problem like others, touchscreen on top and bottom stop working only after 1 year..now i had xz1, but i want to repair z3c, if I replace the display doesn't break again after some time? Anyone has doing that?

It's September 2020, changed the battery and darn using it as back-up. Hard to kill.

My second smartphone after galaxy s2
Loved it's camera and design.
But unfortunately it had one flaw that the screen had come out and broken as the glue had dried.

Both the Z3 and Z3 Compact have a problem with the tape strips holding the glas layer loosing their grip. When this happens the phone will stop registering key presses in the upper part of the screen. Have personally seen this happen on multiple Z3/Z3C. Today with the phone for most long out of warranty I guess a drop of super glue between glas and frame will be a quick and easy fix.

Very sleek and stylish phone. Had mine for a year or two, some things started to fail, so I hade it sent for repair. The package got lost in mail and I got my money returned. Used those to pay for a Z5. But I kind of missed my Z3C. I think this was a strong Line of phones made by Sony. My gf has been a loyal follower since Z1C and she hade Always been satisfied as a average consumer.
I hope Sony wont discountinue this Line, event of it looks like it now mid 2020. They seem to fancy big slobs nowadays.

Sadly after getting this phone second hand about 6 months ago the screen is no longer working in significant areas and despite trying factory reset and the support function on the phone, nothing seems to improve it. Problems with the screen seem to be fairly common
