Had this phone for 2 years now.
Pro's:
Sturdy
Great, clear and crisp display
PS4 Remote Play
Fairly Fast 3gb RAM despite underpowered processor.
Hard (for me) to damage, dropped it loads of times over these last 2 years no all sorts of surfaces, concrete and carpet no damage.
Fingerprint Scanner is in a great place
Amazing camera (REAR)
Waterproof ("to 1.5m")
Charges Fast
Cons:
Overheats easily and doesn't do well in hot countries, tried to use my camera in Spain but the phone was so hot it wouldn't work.
Battery could be better (2900mah), if you play games on the phone expect it to drain, FAST. Video lasts a bit longer but still drains pretty quick.
Underpowered Processor, same processor thats in the Z3 and my biggest complaint about the phone, Sony really messed up on this one.
Speakers are quiet even on max.
Front Camera (selfie cam) is poor in low light.
I think the internal Antenna is crap and doesn't pick up network that great, though that's just speculation and frustration. on EE in the UK, crap signal all the time apart from when i'm in any major city.

I have this phone since 2 years ago. So many things have happened since then in my life and it's been with me through all. Tears, laughs, hugs, passion, parkour, cops and generally everything.
I had some issues with it's water resistant abilities and got 2 replacements with the warranty but since then I had no hardware issues. Stopped toying with its waterproofing solved my issues completely, no wonder.
It's an amazing, durable and fast phone. Even after 2 years it's very fast and I haven't regret my purchase. It's camera is a beast and takes photos like a champion. Many of my friends ask me if I use a dlsr for photography.., heh no. Im just experienced with Z5 and I know it's strengths and weaknesses.
It's performance is a bit sluggish a few times but that happens rarely. Been a month actually that it was acting strangely in its speed.
Had to be an application of some sort because after i wiped the cache and uninstalled a few apps i didn't use it was back to normal.
Strange because it also effected it's battery life and i had weird shortages that made no sense because I always look at what's running in the background and what's not. But all is back to normal after my touches :)
It's a phone worthy of the SONY name really. And I'm serious when it comes to technology.
So if you are reading this, its a great phone. If you want a cheap (as of now that is) flagship with a serious, no bullsht look that stands out of all the bezeless and notched kid toys, there is no other option in my opinion.

Just the Snapdragon 810 of Qualcomm had destroyed reputation of Sony (Z4, Z5) and HTC (10 evo), etc...

I have xperia z5 and am now experiencing overheating problem with just light load on my phone and this happened after Android system update to (Nugat 7.1).
So if anyone could tell me how can I reinstall the old software version (Android 5 lolipup)

Hi, please help. My Z5's android version is still 5.1.1 so I want to upgrade it to the latest version or at the least to nougat. However, when I check the software version through sony's website using the IMEI,it says that my software is up todate. I have 12.81 GB available storage and I even reset my phone but to no avail. Thank you so much!
