Sony Z5 not worth the money.....better smartphones with more features and less price are easily available in the market.
This phone is only for Sony fans, who buys any nonsense under Sony brand paying any nonsense amount for their products.
But yes, Camera is good.
If anyone wants to buy a 23MP camera by paying INR 40,000...please go for it.
else be smart and go for a much much better options with lesser budget...cheers

I updated my xperia Z5 dual to 6.0
Disappointing battery life, The bug is the battery optimization option is not working which drains the battery of the device. When ever I switch on the 2g data connection it hardly shows 9 hours battery life left unlike the lolipop version where battery life was good.

after,marshmallows it is freaking fast and battery life is also improved.There are no heating issue.It is more responsive than before.
No issue regarding SD card

After purchase within 3 days I received marshmallow update and updated my phone now to marshmallow,it's good and battery improved,in dual sim settings somany change and only you have to select same ring default,this is negative and heating issue not solved and no change to improve camera quality...

Today , I got notification on my mobile ,says that marshmallow software update for my Z5 is available .
Is it nice and safe ?

For 15 dqys the fone gave me top ... moreI used Sony Xperia z3 same time with LG G4 which are of the same architect and while Sony was exact rosy doing the same like Z5 , LG G 4 at the same setting and applications drain the same 3000 mA faster while you don't realize the heat for the leather back.. Quiet smart phones, right? But the problem is in the combination of snapdragon 810 and android... This is an evolutional transition shit, so we should live with this flaw until technology become more mature or you should better go for Mediatek or Exynos... They never disappointed me with same application, android and battery

Hello my friends.
After my disappointment from HTC ME I asked a friend to give me Sony Xperia Z5 Dual for a 2 weeks trial...
That was a bigger disappointment. I mean this is a very expensive phone (about 650 Euros in Europe) with a great built quality, very good specifications, and of course very nice looking and with front stereo speakers.
I was happy with the camera and all the effects and gaming abilities that it comes with. But that is where it stops...
First of all the sound is very very very poor... It is the worst sound that a phone with dual front speakers could ever have. Poor, low, distorted in high levels and when you open the phone for the first time the bottom speaker is so low that you thing that is not working. After a few days it adjusts itself but without making the sound much better. I believe that Sony has a long way before they make a good stereo sound quality phone.
There is also a great overheating issue under heavy games as Tetris Blitz, Mortal Combat and Asphalt 8. I used a temperature gun and after 20 minutes of gaming it shows me 44 Celsius... The good thing is that during overheating it does not lags a lot like HTC ME did.
I also noticed heating issue while charging and downloading but most of the phones has it. Nothing impressive.
Battery life is poor. But if you use stamina option it can last for a little more than a day. If you use it normally and by that I mean usual calls, usual downloads, usual camera usage and usual gaming you have about 8-10 hours.
Fingerprint nice working...
I would also like less preinstalled apps like amazon... If you want you can install them yourself but anyway is a little annoying so many bloatware apps from Sony.
No IR blaster also.
But via bluetooth if you like PS games you can play them to your Sony TV if you have one...
Well thats all my friends.
Another disappointment from a great company.
Anyhow Sony canceled the hole Z series so we are not going to be discuss about Z phones much longer.

Got the Z5 yesterday, charged it 100% nd started using it arnd 5pm,battery drained down to 15% by 11pm that same yesterday :( I

I got z5 dual on 9th feb. For 15 dqys the fone gave me top performance but from 2 -3 days its g3tting heating up even during small tasks. Battery performance is also suffering due to this. Though fone is lag free and superfast till no2 but how come this heating issue arose suddenly. Help and fixes appreciated

My friend is using this mobile. When running benchmark in antutu it shows camera as 8 mp instead of 23 mp. But in camera settings full resolution is set. What could be the problem?

Question, the Spec says Stereo speakers, but iFixit is showing only one speaker in the Teardown? I thought Stereo came with 2 speakers?

been using the z5 dual for some months now. here is my opinion.
plus side:
- i super love the dual sim card feature. this is because i travel frequently between malaysia and singapore due to work.
- and unlike the samsung j series when u have to choose between having two sim cards or one sim card, one mem card, which is ridiculous, sony z5 dual lets me having 2 sim card and one mem card altogether. which makes sense.
- and nope,you dont need to use a pin to open the trays, just use yur thumbs. for extra waterproofing, just make sure u use the protection case, which it deliberately covers the sim and mem card slot cover.
- camera wise its ok, although some improvements on the app would be nice, for example tweaking brightness and saturation should be straighaway on the screen, not further selecting them on options which means further delay.
- screen is ok, the adaptive brightness is quite fast to respond.
-calls in and out are ok.
-sound quality is great.
now for the cons:
- battery capacity is a stupid sick joke. i do not have to charge my previous z3 2 times a day. z5 dual 2900 mah battery is a total shit.
- fingerprint is, although cool, but impractical to use, the failure to recognize rate ia simply too high. one piece of advice, scan your same finger at least 2 profiles, so it can recognize easier.... and if you do.a soft reset, you gotta redo profile again, which is ridiculous.
- the screen ppi have to be higher, very easily having typos. you have to type slower, or stare at your screen.... pr adjust the keyboard size to the highest, or maybe its just the chinese typing app i had.
i give this phone 70/100. not too bad, yet not too good. at least you can use radio and external memory card.

Hello! I would like to share to you what happened recently to my Z5. I was playing CoC while charging a game. My battery was at 91%. All of a sudden it discharges to 90% while still CHARGING. Pretty weird because it's not a high graphics game. Now, after that, I took of with 90% and the next 12 hours of using it. It got stuck at 84%. I mean literally the battery percentage is just stuck. I have used the camera quite a lot, surfed the net, heavy call, and messaging . And It doesn't even go below 84%. I know it has good battery, but it was just something peculiar. After a reset. It went back to normal. Should I get it back or observe? Any reckons?

i am usiing this phone last1 month.
luk perfrct,browsing fast,camera superb bt
i m very disappointed for over heating problems of this phone.
battery drain very fast in uses in 1-2 hrs.
