The Z5 can take the longlasting 4K record, you can find the sample test from the Youtube by yourself. Iphone and samsung just can't do this, because they don't have dual heatpipes to increase the recording time, sorry Iphone don't have the 4K feature, so Apple have to waiting for a long time...

Sony needs to get rid of the strip( charging,head jack covers) coz I think that they will be not gonna be last long for years

Eutelsat Communication demonstrate Ultra HD channel back in 2013. Ultra HD channel just start rolling this year in UK. BT Sport channel is one and only running in UHD for UK. The video content for 4k is limited to only video sharing website like Youtube. I don't quite see the future is ready for 4k yet eventhough we have 4k tv for sale since a few years ago. This 4k smartphone is not helping either. What we need is more 4k capable video camera for broadcasting station that can record without time limit unlike our smartphone that need to stop recording 4k after every 5 minutes. We need people to make more 4k content, not make more display that have 4k. I mean, what the use with all of these 4k tv and smartphone if there is not a single peeson out there making content for it. Movies, tv series, variety show, talk show need to be recorded with 4k video cam for a starter.

don't worry about 4K availability. more and more contents will be available for many years to come. it's a smart investment to buy this phone.
