    Anyone had problems with the Wi-Fi, I had mine last year and it just keeps on disappearing and eventually it can't be detected. I have to do a factory reset but even though the wifi is finally detected it disappears again after a couple of hours. What else can I do to rectify this problem?

      the z5 premium is not worth the money and has become absolutely obsolete due to its poor architecture. The processor has a faulty architecture and you will be only using 6 cores even during running the most demanding games due to the phone shutting them down to reduce its heating. it does not detect otg compatible devices,the headphone jack sensor is faulty and it has the worst battery optimization. I suggest you avoid getting this phone as there is a high probability that you will regret your decision.And the 4k display is a gimmick as you wont notice it anyway

                    guys the headphone jack issue is because of its headphone.
                    I used to use my own headphone for two years and it was ok.
                    then it broke and I switched to the one sony provided with the phone (MH750),
                    after a week or two, it messed up with the headphone jack and it doesn't detect headphone connection anymore. now I have to use a third party app to manually output the sound through the headphone jack and if I send it for repair, i'm afraid that I gonna loose waterproof thing.
                    please be aware that the headphone you are using go in and out smoothly.
                    the one sony provided and some other headphones go in hard and this gonna force the pins and push them out so the detection pin will break.

ANDROID OREO is perfect already, plus it is running on a high-end flagship, why root it when u can use the apps at ease? Yes I know rooting helps in increasing performance with custom softwares, and also helps in removing bloatware, but rooting wouldn't help much on a high-end flagship, instead harming it more because of the price u are buying it if u are concerned with that. I would recommend u to get a low-end or mid-end smartphone if u are into rooting the smartphone, u will see a bigger performance improvement

                                2. Display not Vibrant as X series
                                3. Stopped at 7.1.1
                                4. no usb -c given
                                5. heats up ALOT
                                6. poor finger sensor!
                                PROs in z5p
                                1. easily rootable and DRMKEY EXtraction TOOL works (see xda)
                                2. supports Kcal when flashed thru recovery
                                3. Double tap to wake feature

                                PRO in XZP
                                1. first flaghsip with 4gb ram!
                                2. corning glass camera lenses
                                3. vibrant powerful screen
                                4. amazing finger sensor

                                CONS in XZP
                                1. hangs on oreo 8 (or atleast not faster as it was on 7.1.1
                                2. on Dt2w (double tap to wake)
                                3. drm keys can never be saved! and
                                4. difficult process to obtain ROOT (see xda)

                                  Have this phone since 2016.

                                  + Still have enough computing power
                                  + Was updated to Android 7

                                  +-: Found no sense in 4K display

                                  - Had to replace audio jack two times
                                  - Bluetooth audio implementation is unstable

                                    AnonD-733200, 25 Jan 2018Should I get this phone, is it worth it?It is worth it, but can also get a newer one, like the XPERIA XZ. It is still receiving updates if u are into that, giving u a little information, comparing it to my XPERIA Z3+, XPERIA Z5 and XPERIA Z5 PREMIUM which have the notorious SNAPDRAGON 810 that heats up quite fast, XPERIA XZ doesn't heat up as fast as them. Besides, since the SNAPDRAGON 820 doesn't heat up that fast plus it is built in a 14nm process, it have better battery life even with a smaller battery than the XPERIA Z5 PREMIUM. But if u are interested in this smartphone because of the 4K display, go for it, and u will have to watch out for the heat, or u can wait for the price for XPERIA XZ PREMIUM to drop, if u are interested in how the XPERIA XZ PREMIUM performs, for me I don't have any heat issues when playing 4K videos for long periods of time, same goes to the camera, u might as well go for that if u are eyeing on the 4K display

                                      Pros
                                      2.0GHz Octa Core Processor
                                      Qualcomm Fast Charging 2.0
                                      Back Camera Quality is excellent
                                      Waterproof

                                      Cons
                                      Front Camera quality isn't that great
                                      Still stuck with 7.1.1 update (won't recieve anymore updates because the phone is old now doesn't really matter because I upgrade next year)
                                      Phone came out 2015 and it still uses micro USB
                                      Battery can only last a few hours
