Theres no LED or XENON flash in this. Typical marketing strategy. Theres going to be another phablet like this probably called xperia ZL ultra or something of a sort which will include a LED or xenon flash. This was a tester LOL

Wow .. Awesome phablet ... i'm really enjoying its features ... coming to camera quality .. we need to adjust some settings for better image output ...
Finally my experience on Z Ultra ... its awesome phablet with big screen n battery life is awesome ..

I won't be changing phones until December, but I'll be looking at this one or Honami as my obvious choices (Sony fan here) . . . might have to assess my phone functionality priorities. . . hmmm . . .

I have the same concern...... no flash no flash sony why you put camera remove it better. ... oh what is going on with all devices company. ....

Samsung Galaxy tabs3 8 & 7" have voice support on GSM, and cameras without flash, nobody is complaining about them. I don't see "oh too big ", "oh no flash for camera, wont buy", y do u guys complain about Sony's Z Ultra with 6.44" , 8mega pixels, no flash, more handy or easier to carry, even more pocket friendly than d tabs 7 and 8.

Initially I had almost complained about d top and lower bezels, but realized y Sony made it so. Ideally when viewing contents on a tablet; as this is virtually a tablet, particularly multimedia contents, landscape mode is more ideal and in d fashion in which Sony does display or advertise their tablets in landscape mode, u have room to place ur hands or thumb when holding d phone in on hand or both. This allows for a firm grip of d device. I think b4 we start complaining or bashing phone designs we should try to understand its intended use. Based on d lack of led on d Z Ultra, how many of u have complained about lack of led on ur tablets, those of u who own various tablets. I know some on ipads and galaxy tabs 8, 10. U knew they had no led, still u bought them, bcos this is Sony, u complain. See d Z Ultra as 75% tab, 25% phone. Or simply put, 6.44" tab with phone functionality. But if u don't want to buy it, no problem, stop discouraging others and stop acting like Samsung paid students.

I noticed that most of the ppl posting comments here are Samsung faithfuls rather than Sony's. if this had been a Samsung device, d Samsung fans never would complain, but rather praise it, saying it is innovation, Samsung has d best cameras so no need for flash, blah blah blah. But being a Sony device, d Samsung fans are just looking for every means to spite this device and discourage others from buying it, complaining particularly a lot about its size as well. Fyi, Sony's intention here was to bridge d gap between a tablet & a phone for a business minded person. imagine it as a blend/hybrid btw d xperia z and tablet z. U wont need to carry with u a phone and a large screen tablet, and anything less than its size certainly will b more of a phone. Those of u criticizing this device, talking so much about d Note's S pen, I believe d ability to use virtually any kind of pen here is even for revolutionary. What happens if by chance u lose ur S pen, or it gets damaged? , isn't this a much smarter idea by Sony?

Good phone, not really comparing... but it has no slowdowns and the battery life was superb. Most said the no flash is a dead drop though it's compensated by it's software based lighting almost in-par with EOS/ISO standards. So I really don't mind the no flash thing. Also the no iPhone copy? Come to the China or India. I'm sure anybody with technical know-how can fabricate parts. That said... the should think of another design though. Basing on the Z/ZL isn't to inspiring.

Iphone is the best in the world. Because it can open a lot of applications without making leg. And no one could make mock iphone spare parts
