1stly , I'm not as lame as some of the jokers here , complaining when they don't even see the actual units . 3G version is selling now in Malaysia . 2ndly , I bought it cuz i thought sony would have improved over their xperia Z , ended up , nothing to shout about .

I met a Sony manager two days ago, he had this phone.. It has a really good screen, and in fact isn't that big. Looks nice and promising

That said I wish Sony made this 7 inch. With those thin bazels that the ZU has, it will be a good size for a tablet.

Dear Sony , thank you for making me waste my money buying this crap . Thank you for all the misleading reviews on your screen writing capability we saw online .
1 - Ball pen dont work , plastic stylus dont work . Only pencil and fingers ? Seriously ? Pencils ? How many of us carries pencil these days ? Or is there gonna be a pencil for Xperia ZU accessories ? Even writing speed have to slow down , if not it wouldn't be an accurate capture .
2 - Power + volume buttons located at the middle on the side . I didn't know Japanese are all right handed . Try using the phone with your left hand to answer a call and then , please advice me on how to hold this phone WITHOUT accidentally pressing on those buttons .
3 - During Xperia Z , there has been a lot of complains on how the flip used to cover USB get loosen over time due to opening and closing , making it " Un-waterproof " . Yet , in Xperia ZU , u repeat the same dumb mistake . If you dont know how to make a good flip , please refer to motorola Defy . Or , for your convenience , refer to phones like Fujitsu F-02E , F-06E and Sharp SH-06E . Those flips used on these phones is what we need , maintaining it's water resist after months of usage
4 - 1mm or 2mm thinner will not be a problem if you make a bigger battery . Do bear in mind your phone is 6.44" , not 4.4" . Why don't you just put a 2000mAH battery and make it even thinner so you can brag and advertise as the thinnest phone .
5 - Again , poor speakers quality . I dont expect it to be loud but at least on crowded street , I can hear ppl talking to me . And that is IF I manage to hear my phone ring .
Of all the phones released this year , sadly , purchasing this phone is my biggest regret .

S4 and Xperia Z are great phones guys so pls stop fighting. Buy anyone of them u like.
However, I will say something about the screen technology the both companies employ. Unless u plan to change phones often there is no use buying phones with Amoled technology, no matter how vivid and amazingly sharp they look. U may say that S4 beats XZ in that department but it's just preference, u may actually love the way XZ displays things plus u get to enjoy same quality for years.
So friends, list what u want from a mobile phone and research a little to find which company best represents it. Try to understand the meaning of some of these terms they use so u don't end up buying new phones every six months... Amoled, TFT, Andreno 320 and 330, Snapdragon 600 & 800. Performance wise, is it worth ditching Andreno 320 with Snapdragon 600 for 330 with Snapdragon 800?
Personally I prefer Xperia Z design to S4 and I sure prefer Sony's UI implementation but then I always long for those fun/cool stuff S3 and S4 do... The Smart this and that...

still i can't understand why many samy's fans came here and want to show himself as a expert. why they waste themselves. we love sony that's why we are here. if we though that samsung is better then sony then we must buy a samsung phone. we don't need samy's boys' experiences.

Hey, today I'm working and made a hole in a drywall ceiling, I needed to see whats inside the dark joist space, wires, pipes etc. I put my Galaxy Nexus in the hole, took several photos and saw clear as day "because of LED flash" what's there. WHY does Sony think I have no need for a flash? I like to have their Z Ultra because of the large screen BUT no LED flash? Sony, I'll have to buy the Samsung Note 3 even with it's small 5.7" screen because I have to have an LED flash!!! Next time don't cheat your costermers out of a good camera or an LED flash.
