Anonymous, 05 Jul 2013How about some proof to support your bragging ? As I don't... moreBoth OLED and LCD have their own strength and weaknesses, like OLED is rather not suitable for water-proofed device because water may damage the display (that's why even your beloved Samsung used tft display on the S4 Active too), and LCD have narrower viewing angle compare to OLED. OLED is just a newer/younger display technology, OLED still suffer some big issue like poor life-span, colour balance issue and etc. Nothing is perfect in the world....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lcd#Advantages_and_disadvantages
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oled#Disadvantages
And yes, Samsung is currently the largest OLED manufacturer in the market, but that doesn't mean there is no other OLED manufacturer in the market, and in fact Sony is consider the second largest OLED manufacturer in the market (PS Vita is using a 5" OLED display).

For you, it sounds like anything that is not the "best" (to you only), "most popular", "most profitable" OEM's product are all "crap". Bashing and trolling every product/OEM insanely that you dislike is kinda funny and ignorance. What you think it is the best doesn't implies that it must be the same to everyone, different ppl have different needs and preference, so kindly respect other ppl's preferences. As a consumer, we should encourage competition and appreciate to have more choices in the market for us to choose.

those who use a type of products will never say anything else than our product is superior
colors are way better with the lcd
under sunlight usage is way better as well with the lcd
the only thing the amoled have is a wide viewing angles and over saturated colors which for my self consider it a deal breaker i hate to share my screen with anyone and i like the nature
if sony used a led screen in their products i won't buy it
and i forget to tell u
ur experts aren't better than my own eyes

Samsung is one of the leaders in OLED display research and the clear leader in AMOLED production.
OLED Displays are thinner, more efficient and offer better picture quality than LCD or Plasma displays.
Samsung Display is the number one producer of AMOLED panels (they make over 90% of AMOLED panels worldwide)
Samsung is investing a lot of money in AMOLED capacity. 2012 investment alone was around $6 billion. This is more money than Sony has even seen for over 5 years.

Sony, whose television business has lost money for nine straight years, has not made any OLED televisions since its debut effort six years ago.
