go for the SP, even when the ZL has better hardware you wont regret getting the SP, it is a very good device.

anyone there who has the same problem with mass deletion of sms? try deleting the whole conversation, if the conversation has more than 300 messages i cant mass delete them. i have to delete them one by one.
i did have a sony ericsson cybershot phone and it fell 1 storey high. had plenty of dents but worked fine so if sony still has that build quality, i can assure you that your xperia has a very good build quality

Currently I am using Xperia Sola and I would like to upgrade my phone. Should I go for Xperia SP or ZL ? For business, I am using Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which ia large screen for my to reply and read my emails. I just need a small gadget during I move around. Dear all, need your opinion between SP and ZL as I do not want to buy or make a wrong choice and then need to upgrade later on

Yup,,,I'm using it and its just awesome... I'm satisfied.
Really a great looking phone.
Battery life is better than Xperia Z.

i ask sony service center , but seems they just fool me around ...
anyone can tell me the solution (software update can't fix this maybe unit repair or replacement)

also, the co0mparation is a bit silly, since one is a flagship phone and the other is a mini (usually presented as mid range entry device), anyways here:

pros on Galaxy S4 mini:

hardware wise, go for the xperia ZL.
if you want a small device then the galaxy S4 mini, since is a bit smaller, however, as you can tell from the comparison chart, the size is not so different.
personal note:
i don't like current samsung phones they are ugly and even when some of them are fiscally smaller than the ZL they look/feel bigger, the android skin samsung uses is more close to the generic android from google (this is why so many nexus users enjoy samsung GUI), but i love the sony GUI, my personal experience with the ZL has been interesting, since i did not wanted this phone, i was after the Z, but i could not buy it here, so i had to take the ZL instead, which wasn't of my enjoyment (i was looking for a phone that i could take out of a swimming pool without much to worry about), but this thing behave in such a way that i practically fell in love with it, specially for the IR blaster, the ability to manipulate any device with this phone has let me to a new level of mischief, given the other hardware specs i have no issue running games, emulators or 1080p movies and playing them on big screens, so far i am happy with my ZL, a note to add is that i haven't found much of an issue with the last 2 updates regarding the battery, it last the same it did since the original 4.1.2 android so i cant complain on that matter

I will suggest you to buy Sony Xperia ZL if you want a good,durable & elegant hi-end mobile smartphone. Samsung brand is good when it comes to features. But it lack of solid quality, because I'm using Samsung S4 before I shift to Sony Xperia ZL, I'll fine the answer when I used this ZL.

Nice phone but I suggest u go with Xperia z instead...z costs just 2000more than zl (India) z is more better than zl waterproof , dustproof , more slim, better look , fast updates, more resale value , lighter ...etc...
I don't say zl is bad but u can get so many more features by spending just 2k more....

This is the best phone in its range. It's handy compared to other 5 inch screen phones. I have used Samsung note, s3; htc one x plus and lastly htc one but this the best. I also liked htc one but sense 5 didn't suit me. Sense 4+ was better in my opinion. For me sony has the best hi except the 3 software keys. Call volume increases after the latest update. Music is top notch. Camera clarity is the best. Hats off to sony for creating such a beautiful phone which is easy to handle.

probably the best phone that i have used the camera works so perfect .Really smooth and fast no lags..i have doubt will xperia zl get android 4.3 update????...
