no one can ever match the camera and the UI quality supremacy of sony phones iff samsung or any other company starts using nikon lenses which ofcourse wont happen and if it does then it wont come cheap......

S4 better than ZL in,
1- Cpu
2- GPU
3- camera: both still and video performance
4- viewing angles
5- contrast ratio
6- Battery timing
7- thickness: s4 is thinner
8- weight: S4 is much lighter
That said I'd personally prefer ZL since
1- cpu: in real life usage there's hardly any difference in performance in fact some of my friends who were dedicated galaxy users were disappointed with s4's heating up and lag issues
2- GPU same as above except for the lag part
3- ZL's cam usually can be found in top three. Additionally while s4 may have better out right quality it's exposure level and contrast is usually inferior to the Xperias.
4&5- viewing angles and contrast ratio in a screen may be very important but if that is achieved at the cost of lower luminance or the dark out details or missing details in darker areas then for me that screen is no good. So therefore I'd be more than happy watching movies, pictures and playing games on bravia 2 screen.
6- I can do with an average battery timing.
7&8 - a better design, ergonomics, smaller footprint (ZL probably still is the most compact 5 incher out there) materials and styling can more than make up for me in these areas.
Moreover, while many would say that S4's price tag is justified for its goods over the other androids, I'd be happy saving a little and enjoy my ZL for the reasons mentioned above.
P.s.
This is my personal opinion and obviously a large majority of people buying the s4 won't agree but then there are also those like myself who honestly disagree to the supremacy of the s4 claimed by it's sheer large volume of sales.

Positive
1. Good processor. No lag. Really good gaming performance.
2. Nice camera. 12MP picture quality is awesome.
3. Great interface.
4. Light. Easy to use only by one hand.
5. Great speed of internet. Fast download.
6. Great screen. Bright dan beautiful. 5 inch is really good.
Negative
1. Little slow to open the Camera (3-4 sec)
2. Disappointed with battery performance. Just scroll twitter for 5 minutes, already loss 3% of battery.
3. Power button is not at right position. Difficult to make a screenshot.
4. Speaker also bad positioning. Should be place at side, not at the back.

I ended up getting the Xperia ZL after the following reasons:
1. Pricing – Compared to Galaxy S4 and HTC One, the Xperia ZL is the cheapest amongst the three choices
2. Display – I prefer AMOLED after having used Galaxy phones before. It is true that AMOLED offers real blacks however, it’s surprisingly refreshing to look at the screen of Xperia ZL for some reason. I also noticed that the “viewing angles” that most reviewers were complaining about, was NOT REALLY an issue. It’s so surprising to me that it wasn’t even that noticeable. And the truth is, who would look at his phone on a different angle.
3. Connectivity – Here in the Philippines, we have LTE. So it’s a good thing that the ZL (C6503) also has LTE. It also has NFC and Bluetooth.
4. Storage – The ZL has MicroSD Card Slot which is good
5. Battery – It’s powerful. My phone lasts for 1 day with occasional data usage, around a total of 5 hours in a day. I end up with 30% at the end of the day. This is with Stamina Mode ON. It also doesn’t get too hot unlike my LG Prada and Galaxy S3 previously
6. Screen Size – 5 inches. Good for viewing movies
7. MHL HDMI – I recently purchased an MHL HDMI Adapter and now I view my movies through my TV. Yay!
8. Thickness – It just feels so comfortable in the hand. I don’t experience any difficulty in handling the phone. It’s also not slippery
9. Performance – I haven’t experienced any lags yet. I’m surprised that for something this cheap, the phone really performs well.
Here are the improvement points that I think Sony should work on:
1. The back of the phone is good however, when it gets scratches, it brings out this shiny plastic that just doesn’t look good
2. The sides are not as scratch resistant as I hoped them to be. So it’s best to protect it with a nice decent case. I suggest the cheap Alibaba case
3. The LED notification light at the bottom of the phone is, well, not really that noticeable. But it’s a nice addition, nevertheless
4. Macro Mode of the Camera. It’s just not as good as let’s say the Epic Sony Ericsson Satio
5. And please Sony, include better accessories in the package. The headset is not as good as I hoped them would be.
Overall, this is a unit that can last for at least a year without thinking that you will be left behind in terms of technology. So if you’re thinking of buying this, I recommend this 100%.

xperia zl vs note 2...same price..which is better???help me...sorry for my bad english
