I got this phone week ago, very satisfied with it until now. Fast, nice picture, good sound, no crashing, lagging. A simply reinstalled all my applications from Play store from my previous phone. I got only very little annoyances like power button is not really fast and too small, not 100% good located. And back of phone has wird feel like air behind paper.
But otherwise phone is superb. I got 2 days on battery, night usually takes 15%, connected 24/7.

Hi All, why sony now existing with non-removable battery of all their line up phone, How confidence they are with this concept. is it safe for long term usage,if someday we got problem with it then what we have to do.please share your experience,thanks.

Then Note 2 is for you. Cause you could use the stylus provided on the phone if your hand is too big. But if you want to get a better camera with a performance on the go. xperia ZL is for you. xperia z and/or other waterproof phones have issues where there's no ventilation to let the heat out.

AnonD-162933, 27 Jul 2013first loading system when turn on device, the battery life ... moreHave to agree with the battery usage draining 2% after unplugging the phone that has been charging all night. It sucks. Thought upgrades to an OS was to make it more efficient. Not a big fan of the change to the multitasking window. Liked it a lot better when it was a small pop up on the right side and didn't take up the whole display. Overall I really enjoy the phone. Had an iphone for 3 years prior and will not go back.

Well, I have a habit that every once a year I need to buy new phone (because It's outdated android version or gaming is very laggy) thats why I need the ZL to last for 2 years minimum. I like gaming, and browse the internet especially watch video online. Also I can install apps in the future (My iPhone 3G is suck. I can't even install Facebook because It required iOS 5 or later) -_-
I'm afraid that when I buy this phone, Next years I will regret it. So users PLEASE HELP ME!!! I will very appreciate it. I will take other opinion (Like XPERIA SP etc)

Regarding Xperia ZL's USB, is it also USB On-the-go just like the one on Xperia Z?

first loading system when turn on device, the battery life decreased 1%.
when open application next, decrease faster. even had turn on stamina mode.
anyway, always bringing portable charger to face this battery drop.

Im mightily confused between Z, ZL, & Note 2. I'm bit worried about problems in Z like overheating, earpiece malfunction etc while note 2 is a solid phone in this regard. But note 2 is using a dated cpu and gpu comparing to Z n ZL. Also each phone is having a unique advantages like water proofing, IR blaster and superb battery(n2).But i can trade in waterproofing and ir blaster anyday if battery life is what I'm getting in return. So it comes down to better battery life of n2 or better gaming performance of z & zL(as cpu benchmarks are acceptable for both z and N2). Pricing of al three devices are around 30k or 500$ so its never a concern. Also i really don't care about camera or how much ppi the screen is pushing out. Please help me come out of this terrible dilemma

xperia ZL IR remote does not work on manual setup. Its manufacturing defect. Sony does not have any solution for it yet.

XRGB 2+: works, max distance 3 meters
Genius TVGO: works, max distance 4-5 meters
Infra 48oo: works, max distance 2 meters
7" SILVER LCD tv: works, max distance 6 meters

ok what i do is: on the remote control app> add device> manual setup> chose any, then push power (i always start with power), learn signal info appears so "start", when the next screen shows place original remote control at about 1 cm (or about the thickness of your small finger) away from the phone (obviously pointing at the IR blaster), keep the button on the controller pressed, do not press it multiple times, KEEP IT PRESSED.
when the phone says it learned the signal, don't teach more signals, push next and then test it, chances are it will be working (my old led damaged phone also worked), now u can edit this new remote and add more buttons, also you can change the color palette; also i have noticed that the most difficult signals to set are channel +, volume + and the number 7.
also i must tell you that it was too hard to make the remote learn signals when it had the branded android, i am strongly against branded software as it is full of bugs, tends to make phones slower and drain more battery, what i have seen is it also blocks some of the phone's features, doesn't update at all, and has a lot of google play apps blocked... etc.
on a very personal belief (not proven ofc) i have the feeling that branded android also comes with spyware (talk about paranoid), so i strongly dislike it

Pls recheck it and confirm, then many of us will also give the phone to service center.
