I have to say one of the best smartphones I have ever owned. This is why I never left Sony for any other manufacture. The Xperia ZL has features that are simply amazing, from the look of the device to the stamina mode option this device doesn't let you down.

AnonD-94030, 16 May 2013Dude it seems u dont read my previous comment I already upd... moreUpdated my ZL via PC Companion as OTA always shows that my device already has the latest available application update but when I tried via PC Companion, I was prompted of the new update... takes time though but enough to have mine updated...

I tried Acro S And Sound Quality Wasnt That Good.
I knew from this exp. That xloud on Can Increase loudness But Damages The Fines And quality Of Sound.
I heard Sl And It Was ok while Xloud Is Off And Ifu Check Gsmarena Review You Will Find 2 Reults Forsouund qualitty for sl one with xloud On And One Xloud Off, They Didnt Do Th Same on zl They Only Posted Results i Dont Knnow whether It Is With xloud on Or Off, Thaat is whyi Am Asking. Did U Notice On Zl That Sound Quality Is Affectted while xloud On and How It Compares against s3

Dude it seems u dont read my previous comment I already updated using Sony update software because that good for nothing Pc companion f******g keeps telling my phone is up to date...gosh I hate pc companion

Finally without giving up installed SONY update and got the huge 778MB software update on my Xperia ZL
>camera quality improved
>black navibar looks cool
>not much diffrence in camera start up time
>NFC update
>new light setting called pulsed lighting in Display menu
rest still looking...

I am from India and today I got update of zl- 10.1.1.A.1.253 (Build version)

After this update camera quality is improved and photos are bigger in their size... It is important update for camera

AnonD-44008, 14 May 2013Congrats for your purchase, Could You Let Me Know About The... morei am happy to chose Sony Over S4 eliminating all the latest features S4 has.
But sony seams to have removed many better things as it had on ICS 4.0.4 version.
like it has very tricky facebook integration now removed the option of facebook from Xperia menu in settings , hidden certain setting i am really dissapointed about the optimization SONY did over official Jelly Bean.
Now as per your question the loudness is pretty decent but with Xloud Off its audio is quite inferior compared to S3 but also S3 has audio enhancement....and about SL its quite similar but as we know SL is still to get Jelly Bean we cant quite compare because ZL had quite a lot sound enhacements than Xperia SL..but at the end its a Great Allrounder

Just Recieved my Xperia ZL and to tell its gorgeous..the display is awesome ..and the most impressive part for me was the call quality it is excellent although GsmArena told its close to excellent...but its very loud and clear and that was with all enhancement off.
The speaker loudness is ok though...music player is above average but not best..and its sound quality is better that Xperia Z(no offence as Z is water resistant) but i wont buy a phone just for looks and water resistant feature as long as i cant hear what caller tells me other side of call(had a bad experience with SONY acro S worst call quality)
