Hey Sony! !! Is your xperia zl battery consumption will be match to htc one, remember htc one has almost 10 hours of Web browse and more than 10 hours of video playback. I like the compact size of your xperia zl with big display but doubt about your battery performance.

iSJ5, 21 Apr 2013But the viewing angle of the ZL is awful. Here we go again with the viewing angles! I own the ZL and the viewing angle doesn't even bother me a bit (do you want to show what you are typing to everyone around you? at the same time while playing a video i have found that none of my friends standing around me complained about the viewing angles)...This is the best smartphone out there for guys who want a 5" phone. I was stuck between choosing the Z and the ZL, went to the store and checked out the both of them. The Z may be water resistant, but the ZL is a lot more compact and all feels really nice to hold because of the textured back. The battery is amazing for normal usage, but playing games or browsing continuously drains it out pretty quick. Thats the one thing i didn't like about the phone. Other that that its aces!

XroidZ, 21 Apr 2013The cheapest price here in PH for the Xperia ZL C6502 is P2... morebattery consumption is NOT related to being an LTE or non-LTE variant, what matters is your coverage... pls note that the LTE variant is backwards compatible, meaning in the absence of LTE coverage, it will connect to either HSPA or HSDPA or even to as low as EDGE... but if your area has low coverage for ALL these technologies, that has a big effect because the phone continues to do searching and the process involves strong transmit power from the device until it senses a stronger signal....Also, if you are a heavy user, then expect your battery to be drained in about 8 hours or less.... but if just on standby with the stamina mode active, you'll get longer battery life.... usage is directly proportionate to battery life....

I have ... moreWell xperia phones doesnot allow direct video calling unlike most Nokia or other brand phones..
your best bet is to use video calling apps from play store like skype ...to enjoy video calling but catch is that the person you are calling also should have the same app installed...

braps, 18 Apr 2013dude where did you get your ZL? was it from kimstore? your ... moreThe cheapest price here in PH for the Xperia ZL C6502 is P22,500 from widgetcity and kimstore. YugaTech recently had a review of the Xperia ZL and were impressed by how efficient the Xperia ZL is in consuming its limited battery resources. They reviewed the non-LTE version, so LTE probably does have a negative effect on battery life.
I'm gonna get the non-LTE version as LTE is not available yet in my area.

to answer some unanswered questions:
- Yes the phone fully supports adobe flash so long as its installed
- battery life was kinda disappointing at first (im a heavy user) but once rooted and patched with a debloated ROM the battery life became almost double what it was originally, can last by my estimates between 13 to twenty something hours depending on use im very happy with the battery life.
- the phone can recharge from zero to full quite fast but I noticed that this depends on the type of charger and length and quality of cable, I don't have exact figures but if you want I can try to calculate.
- the camera itself is quite good but the software seems to have some issues and isn't doing the hardware justice, I suggest using third party like camera zoom fx until Sony release an update.
- phone runs like a dream, never hangs or lags especially when rooted and slightly modified, it does get warm however under heavy use and sometimes gets warm in the pocket even if stamina mode is off

AnonD-136890, 17 Apr 2013Why Sony doesn´t develop a mobile with this specs or ... moreThen go buy Blackberry I guess,
I mean if you looking for a qwerty keyboard phones, maybe you don't need even say that, and better you wait for Q10 and lost features you'll have with this phone, but it's up to you, I were already move on man, old blackberry just sucks, and I not yet get experience with the new one, but I could only expect it had a better perfomance and stuff, but yeah, it's up to you.
