Anonymous, 28 Jan 2014To all who think Sony Xperia ZL is a good phone read this f... moreevery device has issues, some ps4 have had issues, some ps3 did had issues, some ps2 did too and some ps1 also, the problem i see there is the awful customer service in some parts of the world, i had buy an xperia active and it died, but i got it on USA and i was overseas when it died, there was no way i could send it all the way back so i was left with a useless paper weight, i was very upset since the xperia active was supposed to be a rugged phone, but then i got my first ZL, it was completely functional, however after 3 months of use, the notification led stopped lighting green, it would light in any other color but green, everything else worked, it even learned IR signals (which is another issue many users have had with ZL) so it was actually perfect, but after another 2 months i got annoyed at the faulty led, i had it debranded (which in some markets means you lose your warranty), i even had installed a custom rom and then roll back just to get the led working, but nothing, so i went where i had gotten it(i wasn't sure if they would just tell me i had installed unauthorized software, which they could have), anyways they checked it, and gave me a new one, no questions, no waiting in line, nothing like that, the one i have now, is the one they gave me, it is more than 7 months old and has had no issue with it, so i do not believe this is a good phone or anything, i KNOW it is good, i like it a lot, so yeah there you have it, it is sad you got such a bad luck, u still could have gotten your phone replaced, but you just got mad, if it isn't sold on your country, they still have to replace it with another product, or with credit if not cash, so in the end it was your own choice to lose your money.
anyways, as stated, always post your issues and complains on the company page, so it can be fixed and helps everyone.

        My Xperia zl never happened sudden death.It is Good Phone.I love This phone Very Much.Compromise only is Battery Life.

            Picture: Satisfied
            Performance: KO- The back is too Hot when put on charge. and before a year, battery is totally dead.
            Warranty: Take to long to service. Unbeliavelable reason, Sony have NO PART to replace my battery.
            Price: Too Pricy for this kinda performance
            Design: Boring....

              [deleted post]many factors, but i have had 4 different smartphones, and i used to keep them plugged (charging) all the time, right now i use 2 xperia devices and keep them plugged, i use them while plugged and in more than 4 years nothing has ever happened, they not even get warm, now, what we have see in these "blow up charging phone calls" is that the user has either, replaced the battery or the original charger, whatever the reason, your phone will not blow up suddenly, for this to happen many factors have to be taken in mind, overcharging would be the most plausible and even then, you will be able to tell that your phone is about to cause several damage to you or your home, take a look at this video:

              it takes a extremely high overcharge and quite a lot of time to blow a li-ion battery xperia phones use a Li+ battery which last longer the more charged, ergo "keep it charged for it to last longer"

              it states: "Charge your device often. This will not affect the lifetime of the battery." so the more you keep it charged, the better

              so in the end, is more probable you will caught fire while filling your car with gas than while using your phone while charging.

                Give it a try and see if it works, I used SUS to updats my phone.

                    Sicking advise,l have tried PC companion and OTA to update my phone to 4.3 jelly beans, but still showing that my phone is up to date at 4.2, what can I do to get 4.3 jelly beans?

                    Am in Uganda east Africa.
                    I will be greatful for your reply.

                      My samsung s4 sometimes also seems to heat up. What I do is just turn off the phone, wait a few seconds and turn it on again and problem solve. Maybe those saying their phone is heating up could give it a try.

                          I brought sony zl on 8-1-2014... I got update with in two days for 4.3 now my mobile temperature is 32c is normal while using Internet it was getting high upto 48c even without playing games.... Why it's happening like this... Is it mobile fault are else software problem.... Any one Please help me .... What is maximum temperature of mobile that we can use

My mobile is get heating when ... moremine got to 52ºC on 2 different very sunny and hot days, i used waze-gps-data for about 5 hours, it has never gone beyond that, and works very well, so i guess max temperature its around 60ºC however keep this link in mind:

                            they state that maximum temperature is around 45ºC, my unit is working very well, but i really got annoyed at it getting so hot

I am having one since 6Months now and its awesome. Only make sure that you should not install anything like advance task killer, memory cleaner etc which is absolutely unnecessary for this phone.Its stamina mode takes care of all those.
