I used My Sony Xperia ZL as a TV Remote very easily.
I never expected that My Xperia ZL is used as a Remote of my 10 years old Videocon TV,But Sony Xperia ZL really work as TV Remote.
If IR Blaster of your Phone is not working then Sony can repair or Change your phone if it is Warranty.

My Xperia ZL is working very fine and Smoothly[Never Slow or HANG or Freeze]
If you want phone for Gaming then Phone is Best for you.
I play many Games on Xperia ZL and all the Games running very Smoothly without LAG or Slow.LOADING of games on XPERIA ZL is very FAST.
Battery Backup of this Phone is also very GOOD.
According to me,Xperia ZL is BEST for you as Xperia ZL has Larger Screen than Xperia ZR which is good for GAMING.
GO for Xperia ZL :)

This phone is awesome. Slimmer, excellent display, good battery life, thinner bezels. I recommend it to all of u. i am using it for last 4 months and no delay, no pause, silky smooth.

Anonymous, 21 Dec 2013Tell about its battery lifeIts Battery life is good especially when I use 'Stamina mode'.
I use net over wifi and download game[350MB] in 2 hours and My Battery decrease only 88% to 85%[Just 3% of Battery fall in 2 hours of Downloading].According to me its very good battery life......
During night,when I sleep , Battery 80% is charged when I wake up and use my Xperia ZL after 8 hours ,Battery is 78% Charged....
Battery Life of Xperia ZL is very GOOD .

Got the phone in maybe 9/2013. Love it, and the "poor viewing angles" i heard about don't seem to bother me at all like i thought it would-Making this a steal for me after the price dropped on ebay.
Now, on to the purpose of this comment. I don't see any mention of the IR blaster/remote control feature. There needs to be a new category for that. The one on this phone is located next to the power button.

one of the best phones ive had. i think this phone will be my main phone for 2 years. ive got black and using it with no case since day 1. feels good to my hand.
