I have been using my ZL for almost 2 years and a half. I had my first battery replaced by Loxley Thailand (a Sony repair distributor in Thailand) after 15 months. They spent exactly 14 working days. I personally was really impressed since Sony's after-sale services in Thailand has discredited it's face for some reasons. By the way, my current battery has perfectly worked for 13 months. I'm planning to have a new battery replaced by the same distributor once it is dead. I love this phone a lot (due to my personal purpose of use). Unfortunately, I've heard that ZL has no longer been supported in terms of a newer firmware. However, I'm planning to use it unless it is lost or stolen.

I have been using Sony xperia zl for two years. Bot now. there is a problem that my phone's microphone is not working perfectly...microphone disturbance...can't hear to the other side person while talking...please advice me about the problems

The best phone in his price range. Great camera and battery endurance. Smoth performance in every aplication.

I took phone to a local repair guy and got the battery replace for 1000rs and it works fine. Bt disappointed with sony service. No more sony in life

Sony makes the best smartphones. My first smartphone was the Xperia SP. I sold it and got myself the Xperia ZR because of the Kitkat upgrade. Along the way I got to test out my friends Galaxy S4, Note 3. Great devices but wasn't as easy to do simple things I did with my SP & ZR. In July I sold my ZR and got myself the Xperia ZL (red). It's a beautiful looking device. I encountered that similar shutting down problem as other reviews stated but it was a quick fix. Ordered a battery for less than $US 12 and had it replaced. Phone works great again. This phone is almost 3 years old and has the same screen to body ratio as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. I've outgrown the screen size already and looking into buying the Xperia C5 Ultra. Right now screen to body ratio plays a vital role in my future purchasing of phones. Sony and other smartphones companies should incorporate that smaller bezel feature in their upcoming smartphones. At this stage in the industry the standard of screen to body ratio on phones should be at least 75%. More screen, less phone. No sense buying a phone that don't look good. All in all the ZL is a good enough mid range.

My xperia zl is dead.It starts only on charging,and shut down when removed from charging.Sony service center here in india refused to repair it,They says these phone only has replacement policy so I have to pay 80% for new phone.Sony is cheating their customers.I regrett for buying a Sony phone.so don't buy a Sony product.

This phone has 75.6% screen-to-body ratio even though it is old already. Sony should come up with new phones with this ratio.

This Xperia ZL is not repairable ones battery is dead , as per Sony care at Lucknow. Not Repairable is their version in writing. My mobile Zl C6502 was active only for one & half year.They offered me to buy back this costly mobile on 20% mobile value. I was offered to buy Sony Xperia Z1 on Rs.22500 payment basis.This is cheating with customer. One more thing -- Sony has stopped making this mobile then why ZL C6502 is being sold. So don't buy Sony Mobiles especially those who don't have replaceable battery. I am surprised why company has not colled back these mobiles.

Using since May 2013 without any issues, change OS to Cyanogenmod if you want your device performing at its best.

I have been using it since May 2013 and still performing same as I brought it. Excellent battery performance till today. It never hanged.

Phone features are very good.But the problems is my phone battery got dead within one year.It's handed over to Sony service Center in Kuwait.Even after 25 days they are telling it may take one month more to clear the problems.This means Sony after sales service in Kuwait is good or not ???
